Welcome to the NZFF Screenshot Competition for October 2010.

This month's rules are as follows:

1) The screenshot must be from a Flight Simulator program (FS2004, FSX, X-Plane, etc), and the position of the shot must be somewhere over New Zealand territory.

2) The image size must be at least 1024 pixels wide, and no wider than 1280 pixels -- this is a change from previously, so take note! Read the uploading screenshot guide to find out how to re-size your shot. Please keep a high resolution version saved on your computer; the admin may request it from you at the end of the month to convert into a site banner!

3) Images can be submitted from October 4th to October 31st 2010, with only one entry per member. You can change your submission before the closing date if you want, just delete the old one and replace it with a new one (by using the edit button at the bottom of your post. Please don't post saying you have edited your original entry, as this creates unnecessary clutter).

4) Soon after the competition ends, a poll will open to decide who has the best image, then the winner will have a cropped version of their image appear in the NZFF banner as well as receiving the prize the adulation of the forum!

5) Editing is allowed, if you know how to do it. The more stunning your shots look the better!

6) This month's theme:

Sticking to last month's 'what's happening in the news' to choose the theme -- although lately there's been nothing but bad news for aviation, so I'll try a different tack.

So this month's theme is 'Jackpot!', as Powerball has reached 24 million this week. As always you can interpret this as you wish. There are some nice aircraft on sale at the moment, what would you do if money was no object? What's your ultimate aviation fantasy?

Please, no comments or discussions on the pros and cons of gambling, I know that some people have strong views on this, including me, but this isn't the place to air them. No pun intended...

Nice shots guys. A Spitfire might get around NZ about as fast as a bizjet? Can't carry the family in a Spit though laugh.gif (bomb racks don't count!)

If I was to win the Lotto Jackpot I would buy the SAF Argosy and donate it to the Aviation Heritage Centre Omaka.

Hmm, always liked this aircraft.

Love to buy one , even with the money it might be hard to get the owners to part with it, then again 28 million.......
