Have hesitated 'til now but my initial reaction to the thread title, without reading the details, was on an entirely different tangent. /smile.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= :) border= 0 alt= smile.gif />.

QUOTE (toprob @ Jul 31 2011,5:47 PM) The 'Generation X' photoscenery is very nice -- 1.2m/px with some 60cm, but I think the real noticeable difference here is a 5 metre elevation mesh. I've only ever seen something similar with Tim's BOP Volcanoes, which has a 5 metre mesh. Plus I think these shots are zoomed right out, which is a good way to 'tighten up' the detail in screenshots. "zoomed out" is the only way to go all though all the way out at .30 zoom is too far giving a parabolic effect but .4 to .5 is fine. Anything higher makes the ground...

Don't forget to drop in to Ireland on your tour of Europe. There isnt much payware scenery available right now apart from some airports by EireSim but its a lovely small country to fly around with some nice mountains on the west coast or a good place to base yourself from to explore the UK, Spain and France. Some friendly VATSIM controllers up there too /smile.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= :) border= 0 alt= smile.gif />

I did a review if Track IR4 back in 2008 on ARNZX site check out reviews page. IR5 is effectively the same with different stand I believe. I'm still running TRI 4 using TIR 5 Software and I rate it very highly, I think it's better than a second screen. As noted more for VFR than IFR I must agree. Can use it in any screen you can pan in. Cheers Paul

I totally agree with the points here. Having used Flight Sim at home for years made my first flying lesson a lot easier from knowing so much about systems and procedures-but the actual flying part was a lot different and i also suffered from the problem of spending my time looking down instead of out the window. Things like just using the horizon/nose to control your height instead of using the instruments took a long time to perfect because i'd never bothered looking at the horizon before in FSX. One day we went over to Omaka to do some circuits and we played the "tea towel over the...

Sure the nhancer programme is no longer being supported and the forums form it site have been closed. Drivers of 260.XX or higher are not compatable and many people running v270.XX drivers with nhancer fail to start FSX Nvidia inspector is just if not easier to use with equally good results. For me, nhancer would not even install with new nvidia graphics drivers installed. Check this link out to see what I am on about.

I flew FSeconomy for a while, and still have my account there so technically I could jump right back in. The downside with FSeconomy for me was the lack of 'big' planes. It's really a GA/ prop system. Even if you had a worldwide company, you'd still be servicing it with a fleet of DC3s The other thing that bothered me (when I decided to leave) was that not all airports had fuel. So sometimes you just want to fly a job, but you can't due to lack of fuel nearby (because someone left the plane empty), and had to fly even longer/ further out of your way to include a fuel stop...

QUOTE (Ian Warren @ Jun 23 2011,2:29 PM) One thing i recall Deane mention about flying a Huey , was the preasure required on the pedals to counter react the energy in the rotor , really had to push on them . Actually Ian - it wasn't the pressure as they easy to press - It was the large amount of movement you need to put in to counteract a big increase in torque. I was quite surprised, especially compared to the cyclic. The cyclic is very sensitive - you only have to think about moving it and you are off in that direction!!
