Thanx IB, and in addition to the Frat stuff (and the Vertigo cat* series we've already talked about) if you fancy some heavy iron but don't have any payware you cant go wrong with the Wilco PIC 737 and the baby Airbus series and they're half price there too. Both are oldish titles now but have stood the test of time, there are other 320 options now of course but this sale price is pretty good. There are also a couple of Wilco biz-jets, CRJs etc which I'm gonna splash out on.

QUOTE (cowpatz @ Nov 25 2010, 09:17 AM) The name rings a bell. I was on the F27 from around 1986 to 1990. Might have been a bit after his time. Hi Cowpatz, Did you know Gordon Spence?

QUOTE (deeknow @ Nov 22 2010, 08:13 PM) I ended up buying the F6F Hellcat ........ air file in the sim or if they really were manouverable, Following the history they were really very easy able to turn a with a zero with the later lessor experienced Japanese pilot , it best ability was its speed and diving , but yes they were very manouverable , almost a 20 to 1 kill ratio in the Pacific . This is one i also have Dean , Ideal again for a MP , the sound set is superb

I have heard of the HTR program, will master the FSX settings then might look into that. I agree the 206 is hard to beat, haven't compared alot with it yet though. Definitely keen to catch up on MP, could organise a chopper convoy somewhere! Anyway I'm gonna head into the Tararua ranges now and see how many huts appear where I know they should be. cheers guys

Awesome - thanks for that. I thought that was probably the case, but had never had the hardware available to play with. Another bit of info in my tech inventory for later... /biggrin.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= :D border= 0 alt= biggrin.gif /> BTW, you're gonna have a kick-ass sim pit once you've got everything ironed out. Oh for 3 screens - I'm 'stuck' with 1 x 22" /sad.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= :( border= 0 alt= sad.gif /> Got a client on 3 x 24" Samsungs, but he's not using the bezel management thing so gets that awful...

QUOTE (mfraser @ Oct 23 2010, 08:57 PM) FSX already has that capability, but you need to be online and connected up with another pilot. I don't know much about it as I've not tried it myself, but I remember the FSX advertising spouting something about 'Cockpit Sharing'. It allows two players/pilots to be connected to one another, and like a real cockpit, one pilot is flying while the other assists with radio calls, checklists, systems monitoring etc.......... the link below has some good information about it....... FSX Shared Cockpit Info Thanks for that. I guess i...

Judging by my experience, few people do think like the developers of this software, but maybe I am just not intelligent enough for it!! smooth landings.

QUOTE (Ian Warren @ Oct 16 2010, 10:48 PM) Pete , thanx for the HU , to compare my FSX runs on a Raptor HD , 10,200 be the better choice then Yeah I've thought about Raptors a few times, but they are even more expensive that SSDs, so have not pursued that idea. I've got a client whose rig I built with Raptors, and in it's day (2 year's ago) it was a blinder for speed. Not sure how it would go with complex scenery, as the client insists on flying FSX in it's vanilla state only - weird. Does have all sliders maxed & all options ticked, but mine can do that too...
