I always fly with active sky. If you want realism it is the only way to go. The ms version is a bit of a joke. As for track IR. Haven't used it for months. I find it too hard to keep still. It works well if you have the patience.

QUOTE Was great flying Auckland to Nadi, Fiji using AP assistance... until I crashed on landing that is. LOL (Mind you, it was my first attempt in a 747) It happens to us all mate- the 747 is especially deceptive with its cockpit height off the ground and it took me a lot of practice untill I got the hang of it! Seeing that you are only just figuring out how to use autopilot, I'm not sure if you are familer with ILS approaches or not but it may help you to read this thread:

QUOTE (toprob @ Oct 12 2007, 02:08 PM) The aircraft.cfg file is not included with the download, it is already installed in FSX. Look here: Microsoft Flight Simulator X\SimObject\Airplanes\C172. This is the default Cessna C172. All you have to do is: 1.) extract the folder called Texture.G1000_EWA into the C172 folder. 2.) in the same folder (C172) open the aircraft.cfg file. As you scroll through you will see these headings: etc. After the LAST entry (which may be on a default system) paste the whole entry you've quoted above, and change the 'x' to the next...

A previous thread has some screenshots of various NZ airports which may give you an idea of what they look like in the sim. VOZ AI which provides AI complementary to GNZLAP, only for the Australia/NZ region is available here.

Hi, I hope I can help. Find the folder where you compiled the traffic file, and open the file eg. Aircraft_ANZlink.txt and you'll see something like this: // Air New Zealand Link AC#1,200,"Air New Zealand Link B1900D" AC#2,200,"de Havilland Dash 8-100 ANZX" AC#3,200,"Air New Zealand Link ATR 72" AC#4,200,"Air New Zealand Link Saab 340" AC#5,200,"Air New Zealand Link Jetstream 32 (Air National Color)" AC#6,200,"VA ZK-VAB 1900d" Now delete the 'Air New Zealand Link Saab 340' and change it to 'de Havilland Dash 8-100...

I think if you like the mag subscribe to it. Gives the publisher more secure revenue stream so more likely to continue. I had a subscription for the last 5years. Also subscribed to computer pilot on the same basis. Ether.

That looks alright to me, I can't see all that well due to the size of the pictures, though. What you will need to do next, is to copy that folder (AICL604 possibly) into the appropriate folder. If it is an aircraft, drop it into the main aircraft folder of MSFS. If it is a scenery folder, drop it into the 'Addon Scenery' folder, and activate it through there /smile.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= :) border= 0 alt= smile.gif />
