Prefer the more middle of the road single malts other wise they start getting too peaty for my tastes. Also prefer them straight with just one or two drops of water to break the surface tension and release the aroma.

QUOTE (cowpatz @ Jul 24 2014,8:59 AM) Owen it really depends how deep into the planning process you really want to go. Simbrief is pretty much a freeware equivalent to PFPX - Professional Flight Planner X . Here you can calculate EDTO range circles and fuel as well as alternate reserves and contingency fuel. It can use real world winds and nav data. You can also apply a sort of "performance deterioration allowance" correction in the drop down selections. In RW aircraft this is used to apply a correction to flight planning book figures due to inservice deterioration such as...

I picked up the Milviz 737-200 and it's excellent. Would be great to trip around NZ in a traditional livery of some kind. Does anyone know a source as I've checked out the usual suspects? Thanks Jay

QUOTE (cowpatz @ Jul 2 2014,1:39 PM) Is the Computer Pilot magazine still being produced? I placed a subscription with them ages ago and have yet to receive one magazine. The website seems functional and it will certainly take your money, but I cannot access any of the latest online magazines. What is available is very dated. I have emailed their support department twice but have yet to get any reply. Can't say I have heard of this mag but I get PC Pilot on subscription from the UK and that is incredible value for money, if you aren't familiar with it, check it out on line...

Ok, now I have run into something extremely annoying. I got the waypoints for the approach into the PMDG737 FMC, But, they are not displayed in the correct place on the map. All of them are too far to the north. but are in the correct pattern

QUOTE (Kahu @ Jun 26 2014,5:17 PM) It is the best blacky any flight sim has to offer One thing I did notice was a looksie into into the dark side off the X-15 ... so for the one really wants to try something different it is worth looking into.

Nah ya don't need semtex, just just need bad syntax..... , good thing is I will be able to compare the difference very shortly , the rating on the PC went up two complete points , had I brought a larger processor and without overclocking to which is something never would do or have done be able to give a good recommendation and cheaper alternative, No more room in the PC , every bay has a hard drive in it .

I have found the payware planes very good for training (PMDG 737 for IFR, RNAV) (PA38 FOR VFR circuits) No offense, but Rod Machado took me through a very patchy PPL Syllabus. LOL yeah patchy would describe it. But, better than none. When I started my PPL I used the book - Ken Fenwick home study course. Seemed to be great, it may be a bit dated now but still very good. Same as this one. You may pick one up here or there = Good luck /smile.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= :) border= 0 alt= smile.gif />

Ardypilot, Whilst it does look as if your GPS is programmed correctly and indeed indicating in Degrees True, I think the actual problem you might be experiencing may be due to UNTAT being mislocated - might pay to check the coordinates! The reason I say this is because from RW20 out to 1000', the track of 198 Magnetic is correct for the RNAV 20 approach - one I'm fairly familiar with, having completed an MEIR on it not 2 weeks ago! Just a thought, as it does seem correct (the tracking) through the Missed Approach sequence........ Cheers!
