Much content available here, search on NZ But if you intend to properly categorise and keep track of all those addons, Addon Linker comes highly recommended, especially if you are clever enough to use it from the get-go! My first stop for payware is the MSFS Marketplace, it is the most painless way I know of, to part with cash. Maybe decide which PW sceneries you want, before flooding the sim with freeware as there will of course be conflicts. Enjoy... this is the best sim you have ever seen.

So I've got the sim up and working. First flight was this morning at about 0200 real time so had to advance for a dawn take off for a early morning flight NZPM - NZPP in a 172 to test everything Honeycomb yoke and throttle are working fine, but the old Saitek panels don't want to interface. A lot has changed since FSX just setting up the screens was painful. And where have the folders gone for add ons!!! Time to update FB and then do a flight Cheers Paul

Umm Lotto would help... but working on getting it to a good home. Oddly enough banks don't look at this as a good investment and will not lend me the money to buy this, so trying other approaches - lotto isn't one of them :-) When you say to live close Robin how close is that? I'm looking a moving it 12km up the road from where it is now if I get it so you could still sit in the back

I'd be tempted to go half-share, were it running FS9 (no VC required y'see). I'll even throw in a few bottle jacks for motion control of the shed :D

NZDN and NZNS are both too old really to update, they have needed an overhaul for a while now. I forgot to mention that I may potter away on the odd freeware release, though, for MSFS and maybe a port to P3D. However they won't be based on any existing payware, as these files are just too big for Avsim, and there's really no easy way to distribute them. So any freeware releases will be smaller in scope. EDIT: one of the reasons why I'm shutting down the store and eventually stopping Simmarket sales is to have zero income from the business, so I can revert to the minimum tax rate on my...

My bandwidth allowance is 430 GB/month. In my old Classic FS9.1, I could fly a Connie from Dublin to Darwin (and beyond) in VFR Pilotage, because all the mesh and scenery was stored in my computer. I was very reluctant to go with Steam, but there was no other way to get AFS4. So far, bandwidth usage has been reasonable. I don't think AFS4 makes me 'play in the cloud' i.e. download the scenery every time I fly. MSFS is brilliant, no question, but I want it all in my machine, updated under my control. not automatically by MS.

I'm really impressed by Blender's performance, it really punches above its weight, and it's free. I should really learn how to use it, but I'm getting too old for something new. On the other hand, from now on I'll have to pay for 3DS Max out of my pension, so Blender might be the answer... As always, Google Earth is a visualization platform, though, so there's not as much benefit as you'd think for folk like us simmers. You could probably drop something into the sim as a 3D model, not too big otherwise you'll overload it, but really we already have the ability to use photogrammetry in MSFS,...

Thinking this through... those machines were designed for an average lifespan measured in weeks. How did they manage to get that lot to start and fly at the same time, on the day? I am very suspicious, having seen the recent artificial constructs of (present company excluded!) deranged minds. :D

Also: Because MSFS does not yet have a Replay function (!) there's a free recording addon which does the job, apparently. Can't do that greaser landing without having a second look, eh?

Was there a week ago dropping my daughter off for a domestic flight, spotted the Texel machine sitting just behind ParcelAir ZK-PAQ about a wings width away with the same orientation, seems to be in the ANZ hard stand area as of that time. Pink-X marks the spot  Can't see it in this shot, only other view was blocked, but it's directly behind, can just see ground shadows beneath ZK-PAQ which is kinda at Stand 51?

Just personalise and scale the display! I have had the odd yen to do this with FS9, but I threw it all away and the memories (Fond) are sufficient.

It would be nice to see an accurate tree and vegetation mod for NZ. Something that we still lack after the update. Wellington still has patches of lime green hills and trees which still look unrealistic

Probably stating the obvious, but I didn't realise till now that the last Boeing 747 was painted differently on each side. I thought parts of Sam Chui's video was stock footage.
