Same very thing happened with Flight Unlimted 1-2-3 packages and Fly 1-2-3 was another twenty years back , simply they fizzled out due to limited design and builds and the option and ability to build on it , P3D may not be struggling .. its the transition stage .

Better off buying what and put it on your shelf .. It dose prove not everything is available via the internet ... so believe what is furniture to many may still be sitting on shelves years to come .

The best thing might be to actually ring ANZ and ask, see where that road takes you.

See if the aircraft.cfg entries for those AI planes have the following line in their config files located within each livery's section: atc_parking_codes= You can change that code to some three or four letter identifier, and also change the airport's AFCAD/AFX file so that certain parking spots accept aircraft specifically with that code. It doesn't always work if you have a lot of active AI and the gate is full before the plane gets there, but more often than not, it does what you want.
