True thats what Slammers are for but as far as LOs concerned I've flown F-15s and beaten Mig29s and SU27/33s gunzo and then also been beaten by F-15s when flying the russian jets. ROE for LO is basically destroy the other side.

Its not Lockon this is Falcon 4 Allied Forces, Lockons graphics look alot better than this.

In the Gulf war F-16s didn't do CAP missions, only F-15s and other interceptors were allowed that job. Likewise USAF F-15Cs aren't allowed to do A/G missions although a pair of F-15Cs did straff a convoy in the middle east(I think it may have been Afghanistan) although both pilots did get in trouble for it. In Falcon 4 the missions in the dynamic campaign are automatically fragged out and are influenced by the players success/failure. In the case of escorts and cap you can wind up with almost any interceptor as an escort.(including other F-16s) The Air Tasking order also frags out...

Try having a look here as this is where the developers of Lockon hang out. You could also try downloading an X52 profile there are some here .

It probably will be as they intend on putting a dynamic campaign like F4 on it. Then theres the advantage of having both red and blue side aircraft as flyable which you cannot do in F4s campaign.

Its better to get F4AF as F4AF is the official Falcon 4 game now and it is the most stable for online flying. FF4 Redviper is a free mod for the original Falcon 4 which can only be bought on ebay as it is quite an old sim.

Sort of I'm using lockon Flaming Cliffs which is an addon for lockon, some of the above screenshots were taken using lockon 1.02 which is the final version of lockons patch before FC. The shots of the SU33, F/A-18 and F-16 in the sunset are LO1.02. The first shots of the F-15 are lockon FC and the shots inside the F-16 are from Falcon 4 Allied Forces. The reason why I posted some screenies of F4AF refuelling as that is the best sim to refuel with online and you can see other players refuelling(and attempting to refuel :D ). I'm not sure however you can purchase the German version online and convert it to english with a patch. BTW I took the HIP for a spin and it looks as though the same FM for the helicopters as OFP and still no HOTAS support. The armoured vehicles are a bit better though.

BTW the above cockpit shot yes all the buttons work and they are all in Russian but there is a feature which describes the buttons function in english when you place the mouse over the button. Also notice the HUD colimation effect, haven't seen anything like that since Janes F-15E and this now is part of the 6dof with trakir.

Probably something to do with friction as well, you rub two objects together and you get heat, the faster you rub the hotter it becomes... :blink: hmm,anyway, as the shuttle hits the atmosphere at speed hey presto, heat. Just like concorde use to heat up and expand at high altitude and speed. Now given Dreamweavers excellent answer, I could be talking a load of bollocks :(

Reading through the site you can see he has had a few problems with sabotage of his efforts but he has not given up. A truely amazing accomplishment. Subs, If you want missions etc then try Orbiter which is very similer but focuses more on dynamics of spaceflight. Like is said by the Author it is a Beta and he makes no bones about the bugs etc. Yeah I was curious if the developer of this had made some missions for it,...
