QUOTE Bite the bullet and just do it! Would have done so six months ago, but on a halved income (thanks to the recession) it's just not feasible anytime soon. Anyway, still have FS9, and there's plenty of life left in the old girl. /winkyy.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= ;) border= 0 alt= winkyy.gif />

Well this one for me again not a hard choice , the LD or CS 767 , the CS757 tho gets every where , the class off these three models are put in my top three for commercial , the other is the PMDG 747 400 restricted to the CHCH -AUK run /smile.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= :) border= 0 alt= smile.gif /> but hella lotta fun landing in Welly , for the older series .. the classic and can get in anywhere is the CS727 and with this one comes with a private jet amongst the types and livery . I do spend more time in the CS727 for the reason off using flight maps and tuning radios during a...

Are you wanting to use them as static objects or do you want replacement autogen textures?

Ah, you've hit the unusual occurrence that is the default radio frequency. It is the same as Auckland's ATIS frequency. The ATIS is what a pilot listens to before taking off or landing at an aerodrome to determine the runway, windspeed, altimeter setting etc. To 'shut him up', just turn the radio dials to change the frequency.

QUOTE (Venge @ Apr 24 2010, 06:58 AM) Thanks for the link! I have also been looking at REX and it seems damned fine as an overall enhancer. Is that available in NZ? Or does everyone just buy the download version from where ever they find it cheapest on a overseas site? REX is good - though Active Sky is pretty good too. Nearly all the software I've bought lately has been downloaded. I'm an old fashioned printed manual type of person, but it just doesn't happen these days, with everything on PDF which you print out at *your* expense. It does make sense, though. My last...

No takers? /smile.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= :) border= 0 alt= smile.gif /> Okay; this morning I switched out the default halo and spotlight .bmps with those supplied in Nick's FS9 Lightfix (as well as the various effects and textures, after backing up defaults, of course /smile.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= :) border= 0 alt= smile.gif /> ) and ... voila; much more subtle light effects now.

Don't run FSX myself, but my reading so far suggests you need to decompile the particular fs9 traffic .bgl file with AIFPC and recompile it as FSX (AIFPC can compile both FS9 and FSX format). AIFPC can be downloaded here .

Still no joy with this. I have gone into the Jetranger cfg file. Have changed all the "OutsideConeVolume" values except the jet wine. Have gone up to 13000 & down to 5000. Dosent seem to make any difference. I must be in the wrong file.

QUOTE (K5054NZ @ Mar 1 2010, 11:21 AM) I uninstalled both and reinstalled FSX on its own and its working great /biggrin.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= :D border= 0 alt= biggrin.gif /> YAY!!! /clapping.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= border= 0 alt= clapping.gif /> I couldn't really see any advantages to Acceleration, so when I set up my new Win7/FSX install I left it off. Can't say I'm missing it /winkyy.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= ;) border= 0 alt= winkyy.gif />

QUOTE (toprob @ Feb 28 2010, 10:21 AM) Even Nhancer is not the answer for everyone, as it is Nvidia-specific... I used to use nHancer quite a lot, but kept getting unexpected crashes. Removing it seems to have made things a lot better. Also, the latest version(s) seem to have problems applying settings - for me at least. For instance - the tweak guide says you should enable anti-aliasing in nHancer but leave it unticked in FSX (I think). I just couldn't get that to work. With the latest nVidia control panel, I think my FSX performs as well as it did with nHancer. My best tweak...

QUOTE (spiriticeman @ Feb 5 2010, 04:01 PM) In SimPilotMag Christian has an article on "Create Airport Labels". I did this tweak when I had FSX on my old computer running Win XP. A really nice feature, and works well. Now that I'm running a new computer (i7 860 2.8GHz/ GTX 285 / Velociraptor 300G / 4G DDR 3 Ram - awesome FPS now!) with Windows 7, I can't get this tweak to work. Has anyone tried it and got it to work? Appreciate any help here. For the benefit of others ... here's Christian's original article: here . Looking at that article, the problem is...

Sorry - read the post only now. Go to the Flight Replicas web site and download the prop texture fix. It is intended for the Avia S-99 / 199 but I guess should work for any propeller... Cheers!
