With myself using both FS9/FSX , I have now found they do clash once a certain limit is pasted , recent last week install FSX .. This time i simply made a new Program folder .. Program files 1 . It seems FS9 is now using files independent , something that normally required a second HD for the sim .. maybe a scenery/object/addon manager could have fix,d this - I don't no .. but lets see what I can load and install before it turns custard again . So for that Bob , Thank you , hopefully found the solution and pleased you have yours fixed ... great to pass the info on /smile.gif style=...

Mmm yea, you could do that with FSNav. Wee thought, I've heard that FSCommander does a similar thing to FSNav, and works for FSX, so maybe that is worth investigating if you're hunting for a solution? /smile.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= :) border= 0 alt= smile.gif /> Alex

Not necessarily not with fs9 anyway ,why FSXers use it is because of the default profile that was with Nivdia ,with things you could not change etc..Nhancer changes these things so that why we use it ,with Fs9 you can do them no prob so no need to change it really ..there are posts around in this topic and others that explian to all much clearer and tell you exactly what things it helps in FSX if you are interested ..

QUOTE (Creator2003) Mike has built a FSX New Plymouth airport (prototype ie work in progress), Yeah i think i put it in the rubbish for FSX since i seen someone else working on a better version of it ,i would have thought it mite of been out by now so i mite just have to dig it back up outta the archives and realease it for those who can touch it up for use like lawire did with fs9 for me ,guessing it worked for lawrie in fs9 id say it will just port over the FSX just fine ....

Thanks, and yes, it was indeed SP2 that caused the problem. I went and edited the alpha channel in the end and that fixed it. Unfortunately doing the same with the Alphasim Harvard doesn't work as well. Apparently the fix for that is to pay Alphasim for another FSX model - a bit of a rip off since I already purchased a model for FSX! Having said that, even with FSX running smoothly it still doesn't compare that well to FS9, so I'm heading back to FS9 where everything works perfectly and looks good. FSX will remain on the hard drive, for now, but it still has a long way to go...

I havn't had any problems, though i have only used it in the fsx 737, i just installed and it worked and havn't thought about it much more. Please note: (off the website) * to install pmSounds simply run the Setup program and follow the steps you see on the screen, the program will create its own folder and a subfolder containing the sound files. * pmSounds might not run with some sound cards when used on the same PC as FS * pmSounds should not be installed within any of the FS folders, it runs independently from FS, on the FS computer or on a computer in a network using WideFS *...

I like the missions, they get me doing things and trying aircraft that I wouldn't usually even think of attempting in my normal free flights. some of them are a good laugh too, like the resort supply with the f-18's flashing past.

I finally managed to download and install it, but the download at the Microsoft site wouldn't work. This is the one that worked: Now all I have to download the next file. :D Thanks for the help! QUOTE (JamesDelphi @ Apr 16 2008, 03:10 PM) Hello all, recently I downloaded the fsx_sp1_ENU.exe file off the Microsoft web site. But it told me that the file was not a valid win32 application when I tried to run it from my hard drive. What have I done wrong? I figured that I need the service pack but I am not sure if the download failed or something else is wrong. The file is 201,...

Yep I found that at 1/4 speed I'd have enough time to counter the wind gusts to keep her steady long enough to pick up the casualty. The real cheats are the ones that use the autopilot ;) which I can't get to work otherwise I'd use that as well.(hmm auto-stabiliser). Also the EH101 ain't modeled correctly anyway it should actually be easier than it actually is in FSX acceleration as it does IRL have auto-hover and autopilot(buttons are there but don't work in FSX) There is also a mod for the autopilot but it doesn't work for some reason.
