Before you start any tweaks tka e a record of your fps then after mounths of tweaking compare it, I think, well at least in my case, it wasn't the weeks of tweaking that got better perforamce but getting to know the differant things to turn off and on in the actul display settings. But yes, turn the autogen off and you could double your fps, the new fsx ground textures are so good it doesn't really matter, id rather the textures than out of proportion 3d objects :P

Despite the words in the avsim thread I find that FSX has considerably better FPS with a Dell laptop 2ghz core duo, 2gb ram with an x1400 video card than with a destop with P4 3.2HT processor 1gb ram and 7600GS video card. I lknow that it is difficult to compare the two but I have FSX installed in both computers and tweaked in exactly the same way. With the core duo I get typically well above 20fps whilst with the P4 not much above 15fps. Will be interested to see the results of your modifications. I would hazard a guess and say that 2GB RAM vs 1 GB will be part of the reason the laptop shows...

don't worry i managed to sort it out. They were fs9 aircraft and i suppose there is something different in the aircraft notepad. because as soon as i changed it to the default 737 settings apart from the the top parts, it worked like they all did before. Althoug i still don't know how they changed in the first place? <_< Anyway thak you all for the help

i do change the frequency but in multiplayer it dosn't change

You can also set views through your keyboard assignment settings. You will notice large sets of things you can do with the keyboard have not been assigned, go through that and see what you can set up, it may save you going through the other process

whats the extra book thing with it why didnt i get one ??? i payed for the same thing i thought ...??? It's a separate strategy guide, not part of the FSX deluxe edition.

Yes I quite agree I have fsx but am noy using it as I only have a Athlon 2500 CPU and a Radeon 9600 card Well get a new PC only to run FSX

How come in the defualt aircraft's model folder there is an exterior mdl and a interior? It may be possible to put a interior model with anothor exterior..... just a thoguht.
