Good to have you look in Murray! I was just singing your praises the other day Well actually Ian helped me sing your praises, more correctly. Fantastic job, and can't wait for your next project. Difficult choices though; given FSX is a little hungry for bytes what d'you do? Go for the max possible and hope it takes forever to finish the project so the computers catch up? Hmm

You should download the AFCAD program by Lee swordy here It's made for FS9 AFCADS, but it handles FSX if you know what you're doing. Read the instructions, open up the FS9 NZCH afcad, edit it as you wish, then save it in the FSX addon scenery/scenery directory.

"Anyway, ive always found Tauranga airport a little disoreintating as well- especially when doing a long approach from the sea. I always seem to picture it in my mind as perpendicular to the coast......which it isnt" You are not the only one - we would ( and they probably still do ) get people calling up 10nm south joining and then pitch up on final straight in for 07 etc - people think that NZ is North/South and if you are on the coast then you must be heading north! We had a couple of pretty nasty near misses caused by this because when you are busy ( solo watch) and someone...

I have done that mission and have had no problems The only thing that is different in the missions over the normal game really is the better ATC and co-pilot and also a few extra sceney things not much that I think would impact on performance much. Scott

Although it's not WLV, I think this probably comes quite close to the wing tip design: Just adjust the colours accordingly.

Really shouldn't require a patch for $119, but I should have known better then that LOL, and to top it off, it doesnt even identify my graphics card properly which would be part of my issues, but not all from what I've seen on forums. BTW call me stupid Jon but who are ACES? (Never heard of them) ACES are the team who developed FSX on behalf of Microsoft.

200 metres!!? Holy moly, it takes a lot of braking to stop the Tecnam in that (at least for me)! I've been in them a couple of times, thats why you have a net on the seat facing(seating side-on) the front of the aircraft or seats facing rearward. Man do they stop you in a hurry.

One advantage of PC Pilot is the free cover disc, computer pilot does seem a little fuller and given its an Aussie/US mag seems to have a different focus to the british PC Pilot

Found this on Flitsim.com.....Although the lines for scaling the lights aren't in the default fsx.cfg, if you add them they work as they should. So, open fsx.cfg. Under Display add the following: RUNWAY_LIGHTS_SURFACE_SCALAR=1.25/scales edge, center, end, touchdown, runways RUNWAY_LIGHTS_VASI_SCALAR=1.0 //scales VASI lights) RUNWAY_LIGHTS_APPROACH_SCALAR=1.25 //scales approach light bars RUNWAY_LIGHTS_STROBE_SCALAR=1.25 //scales RAILs and ODALs) The number following the = sign will scale the lights. Smaller number, smaller lights. Bigger number, bigger lights.
