" I feel like I've planted a seed, and now I'm just awaiting the tree:)" ...oh, it's been planted alright. Scenery design is somewhat addictive. I spend far more time working on my own projects now than I do exploring other peoples....

Well, don't quote me, but my understanding is that Vulkan is a 'better', lower-level way to render 3D graphics, replacing the current OpenGL in Aerofly, and can also replace Direct3D 11. It makes better use of GPUs, and the lower-level aspect makes it less reliant on the OS. " Vulkan offers lower overhead, more direct control over the GPU, and lower CPU usage." -- from Wikipedia:) I do think it'll be a long time before we get a full-featured FS2, but I know what you mean -- I chose this particular clip because it includes 'flyby mode', which on MSFS-based sims is just a blurry mess...

Looking at aerofly the state of California in pretty good photo real and numerous airports is twice the size of New Zealand and works very well . My P.C handles it well and cockpits are highly detailed and nearly fully functional. I flew over N.Z and it is in pre European state.

Thanks for bringing that up, I had been meaning to make a comment. Generally there is no reason why existing -- and installed -- Godzone FSX scenery wouldn't work in Prepar3d v4. I know that there were some heated debates on forums like Avsim about keeping your v4 'pure', and free from legacy scenery, but really that didn't have much basis in reality. Some of the scenery libraries in v4, for instance, and not one single byte different from the FSX versions. The problem is getting them installed, as the installers don't recognise v4. If you already have anything installed previously, and want...

Any update on this? Love to see Stratford and Hawera in P3D! Hi Naki, Yup still working on it! I'm going to get my latest airport done first which is in America, as well as other business commitments I have to do. Then I'll work on getting this one out. Not a lot to do on it. I've done the photo coverage, just have to develop Stratford and Hawera (which are pretty small and easy to develop). Plus finish the 3D Models for New Plymouth city and finish the autogen. Wish LINZ had the building footprints available for Taranaki, I'd be done by now! -Che
