QUOTE (bobby48w @ Mar 1 2014,8:48 AM) I agree with Adrians post. I think The Flightsim version ( Kelvins) is the better of the two but the link"ardmore zip" doesn`t seem to work for some reason or other. Try this link . Ardmore is the first entry on the page. Click on"flightsim.com another scenery" Thanks for your help, much appreciated. It is certainly one of the best I have installed.

QUOTE (toprob @ Feb 27 2014,1:09 PM) I didn't intend to make this compatible (it was one of the VLC airfields, after all, and Orbx actually made a nice Ashburton airfield) but since I'm planning on doing a dual installer now that P3D is working well, I'll include a patch if I can get it to work properly with Orbx. Lots of dual installers to do, though, so it might be a week or two. Wow, that was a fast reply! Thanks Robin, I'll stick with Orbx in the meantime. Look forward to an update soon, Cheers, Paul

Looking good guys- was always a bit of a challenge squeezing in there with the displaced threshold! I don't quite think a 402 twin would quite be comfortable visiting the aerodrome Lawrie, although the Otamatea Aero Club aero club boys showed me a photo of a RAAF Caribou that got stuck in the mud there one winter. It would be more realistic with 0 AI parks on the right side of runway 25, it was a real struggle to park both a C182 and C172 alongside each other between the strip and the hangers. The fence line edging from the neighbouring house is actually quite close on the northern...

Active Sky Next is newly released and is supposed to be good, - I think you can pretty much configure it yourself without the internet (though can't be sure). There's a free trial version available so you can't really go wrong. I read on a forum that it's really good around mountains, with updrafts and downdrafts etc, in addition to all the other tweaks you can do. I don't use FSX since getting P3D2 but as soon as they release a P3D2 compatible version I'm going to get it, - can't wait! /smile.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= :) border= 0 alt= smile.gif...

You could try this, from flightsim.com: FSX - FSX Misc. FSX Improved Runway Lights Name: rwylites.zip Size: 27,742 Date: 12-14-2006 Downloads: 18,894 FSX Improved Runway Lights. This file adds more realistic light colors with better distance visual. By Jose R. Navarro. Be aware that things like REX and ORBX have their own built-in tweakers for this kind of thing, and they will probably over-ride what you have set in the sim. Make sure you backup the default halo.bmp - renaming it halo.bmp.orig will do that.

Definitely. get them all. Queenstown does have a few issues as Ian mentioned but for me they aren't very significant and, in my opinion, the extra detail around the airport and surrounding area is certainly worth it.Queenstown has become one of my significant departure and/or arrival airports since getting the Orbx airport scenery.

I recconised that very cloud ... it floated past me this morning , so easy now to show a landscape on the PC that it could anywhere , specifically if ORBX is involved , photo-real prove exactly were you are , a specific landmark can be edited into a shot very easy yet the screen was taken in a totally different place . I honour the rule with honesty simply seldom do I fly outside New Zealand because here you don't have those long arduous flights over water for hours

QUOTE (toprob @ Jan 25 2014,8:28 PM) No problem there -- I can't see anything which doesn't belong. Just a bit of info on the NZPPmin.bgl file in Scenery\World\Scenery -- this is required whenever the airport elevation is changed. If you delete the NZPP scenery, then this would need to be removed as well, otherwise the default airport elevation won't be correct. But if you have Real NZ Paraparaumu installed, then it will have to be installed to get the correct elevation. It would be good to see a screenshot of the problem just so I know what isn't working...
