Thanks for the quick reply. My old Dell is running FSX pretty well, running old RealNZ Wgtn quite well, just the 3d buildings that slow me down a bit. textures don't seem to hit me that much so I'll see how it goes.

The default NZ mesh is 75 metres, although based on 90 metre data. Since the Red Baron mesh is also 75 metres, I guess it does come down to priority here. Yes, it would make more sense if I'd said that the tunnel was being upgraded -- it was basically a few slabs of concrete and piles of dirt when I was there in 2006.

Thanks for that - I spend most of my time in NZ so there doesn't seem to be any need for these add-ons.

I landed there this week & it's not quite that flash. They had just put up the big Marquee for this weekends 75th celebrations. It has been freshly gravelled & rolled. There was a nice crosswind at the time & we did a little dance on one wheel for a bit until it straightened up.

Just to clear it up the 'Christian Stock' tutorial actually written by Bill Womack, is more for FSX is regards with the 100m segments. So you can ignore the 100m segments if it's for FS9.

QUOTE (Timmo @ Dec 12 2009, 09:30 AM) Ill see what I can do- There is one like that on the blog already but will add a few more as time goes on. I also just got Robins/Mikes Supercity too see how VLC works in with it.....and the results are great- Traffic on the motorway and lights along it. I'm hearing thumbs up all over the place with supercity, not to mention your addon so far. and thanks, it would be good to see some more screenies. Keep up the good work.

When looking for mesh data, what do you search for? I was interested in having a go. Came across 'koordinates' they have some free stuff there, good enough for a first try.

Well I found this: I downloaded it and installed it. The terminal and downtown show up all right but the photo scenery and the runways and taxiways do not. Any idea how to semi-"convert" from fsx to fs9 at all? Thanks, Kelburn

With the FEX addon from flight1 i use ,,you can change the chop of the seas etc make your own water and sky themes ,i guess this must be the case with REX ,the settings of the user would maybe like pacific/ocean seas in the inland waters ,yes this can be done with these addons .. i havent modded my setup much and use orbx themes for inland water with a choppy chop animation and haze skys with gods clouds ,theses remind me of Auckland Harbour most days .. these FEX/REX addons really do make a huge difference to FSX with HD textures and for some reason better frame rates for me .. /winkyy.gif...

Thanks everyone, I used the last method. Didn't realise you could drag the plane in the map. Might look into something more permanent in the future.

QUOTE (Goff_nznr @ Nov 16 2009, 09:57 PM) I used Sbuilder for the sloped runways.... Noted the elevation at each end of the runways, then let Sbuilder 'smooth out' a sloping surface. I've been trying to apply this principle on a ramp for float planes...but no success as yet. I'll maybe try again in the future. QUOTE (Ian Warren @ Nov 11 2009, 10:54 PM) Now were the Hell is Timmo ! .... Tim , Tim .. get the land class out here , /cool.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= B-) border= 0 alt= cool.gif /> ... Robin, I did what you suggested in renaming the bgl's. However, nothing changed. Scenery remained the same. FS9 did not even update the scenery on startup as it would normally do.
