QUOTE (cowpatz @ Nov 24 2013,11:14 AM) Should be fine. The iFly is available for FS9, FSX and P3D (but not sure of V2.0 though). You might want to check out the forum first for up to date known installation issues ie Google chrome. There is a good tutorial on flying RNAV approaches on there too. There should be yet another update out shortly which will enhance it even further. In my opinion it is better than the PMDG in that it can fly RNP and DME arc approaches. This is about the only modern tube I fly these days as it is so realistic and if you are going to fly an integrated...

Well that's right guys, it is the only DC-8 for FSX and there is lots of really good stuff that make it worthwhile and one can only hope there are some fixes and patches to make it better, after all I have the JustFlight BAE146 and it is simply excellent. I am not sure why they rushed this one out and I have no explanation for why it is so heavy on FPS and screens compared to say the Capt Sim 707 or 727 which run flawlessly on my machine and have a reputation for being memory hogs and needing high end systems. We shall wait for the 50 and 60 series to appear before final judgment. In the...

It is rather strange in regards to the delay...I thought it was ready for release ages ago. This must be the longest gestation for any FS plane! I have been following this Airtourer for about 6 years (it was been done independently from Orbx before it became an Orbx product)...hopefully it will see some light soon

Anyone flown one of these yet.. Been looking at the tutorials on you tube. Looks like a beautiful aircraft but maybe more suited for an experienced airline pilot. Just getting it started looks like a mission.

QUOTE (Ian Warren @ Oct 31 2013,1:06 PM) That is because Bendy is on a DC current /unsure.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= border= 0 alt= unsure.gif /> Wise words said in jest, close to the mark, definitely off the grid here in northern NSW, relying on DC current for the lights (Solar) and sometimes (most times) enough for the computer etc, but heavy stuff goes via the generator. Get used to life in the dark! Makes simming and internet stuff very trying some days due to energy constraints the 4 hour rule applies, 4 hours on the batteries or 4 hours on the genset....

QUOTE (BendyFlyer @ Nov 1 2013,8:01 PM) I am not sure why as compared to the Capt Sim 707 or 727 this aircraft is not all that complex systems wise. Anyway looking forward to the updates etc but not holding my breath at the moment. But all in all it is great to have a DC-8 at last and as I am a Douglas man this finally completes my hangar which is very gratifying. Always thought Douglas built better aeroplanes than Boeing with one exception whose name we shall not mention. /biggrin.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= :D border= 0 alt= biggrin.gif /> , The One we shall not mention...

Nice, will be getting this one. Hope the systems are as good as the paintwork, probably not to Accusim spec though.
