That was a couple of enjoyable flights in a SAAB 340B :) On descent into BNE, it got a bit bumptious thanks to the light overcast and a moderate nor-easter, but that is only to be expected with a smaller airliner. Long time since I saw my old stamping ground in the Illawarra from the air. 2hrs each way, a nice single seat with a window, and the only thing I didn't like was the armrest being so low. One thing I do like about sitting abaft the wing in a turboprop, is thinking "Ha-ha, their scenery has blurries too" :twisted: :lol: Picture by darling daughter.

Merry Xmas and compliments to all NZFF members. My Xmas will start on Boxing Day as the 25th disappears between the 24th, when I leave Buenos Aires, until landing at Auckland on the 26th. I just hope that Santa’s sleigh is ADS-B and TCAS equipped!! :xmas:

Thank you very much gentlemen! Yes indeed, a good day was had. I had hoped to pop along to RAF Museum Cosford but got rained off during the day. In the evening I was competing with my pub quiz team in a special charity quiz in aid of Cancer Research which ended up raising a lot of money. We enjoyed birthday cakes too! If I have one ambition for this momentous last year of my forties, it's to get back to NZ before I'm fifty! Thanks again - much appreciated.

thanks Marty. I'm doing fine, just depressed over my laptop not booting after a windows update. Maybe up for a new motherboard I think as I no longer get a splash screen or post/bios login. Totally black screen but a power light and a fan running! cheers,

Thanks chaps, I celebrated by spending the night in Namatanai with a U/S machine... two fuel pump failures.... must be a transient electrical issue.
