Thanks for the feedback guys. Last time I had FS on a computer I spent too much time playing instead of working so not sure if FS will find its way onto this computer. It is my second all in one computer and have found them to be very good. I throw the other one in the back of the car when going to airshows etc, has been really good for that. Cheers Gavin

Installed it yesterday, much like you install the enb mod. I can get the anti aliasing to work but not much else. The quality of the anti aliasing on its own is way under par to that of nvidia inspector and Evan in support of that doesn't seem to do much good. Will play around with the other effects IF I can get them working inside FSX but so far no luck.

QUOTE (Ian Warren @ Dec 28 2012,2:46 PM) Its not bad in respect if you simply and have only ever run FSX - if you have had both or run both on the same HD you will get .. for example FS9 CHCH will start talking to FSX and this causes many problems if you run both regularly .... but it is a good idea to have it on say a faster 10,200 drive and independent from your 'C' dirve , went through a texture issue just recent with Chris , best solution was a complete reformat of the HD . When you manipulate files or build - autogenning , scenery making as in 3d model adding different...

You might also like to take a look at Aerosoft's Navdata pro package. It uses real world LIDO nav data as used by Lufthansa. It may have more coverage for NZ than Navigraph. Navdatapro is a little more expensive though.

Whoopie....fixed it!!! /smile.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= :) border= 0 alt= smile.gif /> Thank you gents for you suggestions. The sound I referred to definitely didn't sound like a fuel pump, more like a bilge pump. It was very loud in some other craft which have their sound aliased to the Douglas DC3, such as the USS Macon dirigable, and the Short series of flying boats. I found the only way to get rid of this pesky sound was to go into the DC3 sound folder and rename the four files starting with 'noncombust.wav, This worked a treat on all the affected craft,...

The most common occurrence I've seen of this is the BIOS simply choosing to select a 2nd hard drive in a multi-HDD system which has no OS. Generally, I've found it to be a CMOS battery going flat, but it could also be an actual motherboard / cable / HDD fault (maybe even something weird with the PSU during startup). However, each time I've encountered it, replacing the battery & reselecting the correct HDD has resulted in an immediate fix. I'm glad to hear that the problem for Craig was easily fixed - no one likes a format / reinstall, not even us techies... /rolleyes.gif...

Your building this rig for FS9????? Im gonna cry. Sorry, just read your posts properly. Good luck with FSX. These new powerfull machines will run FSX fine with minimal tweaks so you dont have to go through the years of struggling that we have endured. just stick to the recommended install procedures, a few key "Jesus" tweaks, Nvidia inpector and you away laughing, oh yeah and accusim, accufeel, REX everything, EZdok.....................................

I use a touch screen monitor in FSX (Dell 2220T 21.5inch, 1920x1080) - usings Windows 8, but works the same in Windows 7. To FSX is works the same as a mouse, so only a 'single touch' is allowed on a multi-touch screen. Challenge is: can only produce a left mouse click, so any controls that require a right click or mouse wheel won't work via the touch screen, so depending on the aircraft can be a major problem with knobs in particular. You can also 'click and drag', so throttle controls, etc can work via the touch screen. In terms of a 'touch screen TV' - first...

FSX SP1, SP1a, and SP2 are available from the Avsim Library. Do a search for Service Pack 1 and filter by date.

QUOTE (TonyM @ Nov 15 2012,12:01 PM) Goff, I'm using a Logitech wireless headset, (H800) which I got here..... and its been performing flawlessly for at least the last 12months. What I love about these things is that they also connect to Bluetooth Devices. I get about 5 hrs use on a full charge I am not that concerned about radiation as its only used several times a week for short periods on multiplayer. While not being an expert on these matters, I believe that as its only transmitting( in my case) about 500mm to the USB reciever, that the power output is miniscule, probably...

Cheers for the link Tim , saw it few days back but just had not D/loaded it /cool.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= B-) border= 0 alt= cool.gif /> .... Think Kade has pretty much cover the RNZAF aircraft , but after a future visit back to the museum be worth photoing some of the more pronounced panel details and with his permission and them to his paints .

Thanks heaps Doug! That seems to be the case for me too....... I did some tests last night and found I can run in 5040x1050 @ 59hz no problem so that might be the max for me right now. I think its a refresh rate issue as 5760x1080 has a refresh of 50hz which I'm pretty sure is out of my LCD's range. I'll do some more investigation but at least I can sim now!! /laugh.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= border= 0 alt= laugh.gif /> Weird how I could get max resolution using little ole XP and FS9 tho!! /blink.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid=...

QUOTE (Olderndirt @ Nov 3 2012,4:26 AM) Yeah Adam, the more I read the more I learn /smile.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= :) border= 0 alt= smile.gif />. Other than the FSUIPC install, I can't pinpoint what I did but it seems to be cured. Did I miss your "Inspector" tutorial? Great to hear that's one problem solved! No ... you didn't miss it ... thanks for reminding me!!!!

Please confirm you have the engine running whey you have this problem? The systems are modeled after real life systems, if you dont have the engine running or ground power, it wont supply power to the hyd pack If you continue to have this problem, I suggest you head over to the milviz forums and request assistance there, sorry I cant provide much more help, from the boss all assistance is to go thru the milviz forums If you do head over there, please read this post > to save time
