QUOTE (mfraser @ Nov 18 2010, 10:54 PM) Yup - tragic is a good descriptor. I briefly toyed with FF on FS9 but found it to be ridiculous in the way that it implements helicopter feedback. I used my brothers Logitech Wingman FF joystick and had to hold on for dear life as the handle flew widly around in circles whenever I touched the collective!! Totally unrealistic!! The FS9.CFG and aircraft CFG's have lots of FF parameters which could help improve the experience, but I felt it to be more of a gimmick rather than an enhancement for my simming. Best of luck sorting...

QUOTE (mfraser @ Nov 19 2010, 08:59 AM) Not in FS9/FS2004 unless you have FSUIPC and are willing to do some programming as a workaround - I'm about to do something similar on FS9 to remove the virtual cockpit in my simpit....... Ohh ok I guess ill just have to get used to it /laugh.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= border= 0 alt= laugh.gif /> Thanks

Well, still having issues. I'm thinking it may be a conflict between SB and Active Sky on windows 7 64 bit. Anyone use the same applications? Any problems?

A few sources say Samuel Pepys used the expression quite often and he was in the mid 1600's, about 300 years before 'todger' put in an appearance although a quick search of an online version of his diary doesn't find any instances of it - though if the webmaster there ever checks the logs to see what people have been searching for that should give him a snigger /smile.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= :) border= 0 alt= smile.gif /> Concensus says it's something to do with the meaning of the name Roger, there are a few different versions but they all involve the words...

Hey Doug. If you look at the comparisons you can see a good spread of different cards there. I'm not overly fussed with the 6850 per se - the 5850 & 5870 are generally faster, as are the 470 & 480. My main reason for mentioning this particular card is because it's one of the first of the 6800 series, is not overly expensive, and has an extremely good "$ for performance" rating (esp at 1680x1050 or 1920x1200). Also, the comparisons for other cards show roughly where most of the current popular ones sit. If you check out this link , the first 2 cards on the page...

I seem to remember that when you replaced the graphics card in FS2004, you really needed to rebuild the fs9.cfg file to make sure that it had details of the new card only. Maybe worth a try -- just backup and delete the cfg file and see what happens.

QUOTE (AndrewJamez @ Oct 14 2010, 09:08 AM) If you want to heat your house, buy a plasma TV. They are most efficient at converting electricity into Heat. Thanks for the link Steve. Well, I am happy to report I have a stable system that is churning out the framerates. I am actually able to enjoy FS that way it should be enjoyed and have found myself taking out the DASH 8 more. Tonight i flew out from Auckland to Palmerston North, then to Paraparaumu, then back to Ohakea and finally Wellington. The scenery was pretty good but the thing I liked the most was the hand flown visual approaches (I can actually clearly see the PAPI now!) and I no longer have to wait for the system to catch up. Thank you all for your help and advice, I have a system...

QUOTE (ShadowMystDK @ Oct 11 2010, 01:01 PM) I have no clue as to what setting I should be looking for though lol............. FSX has a bit-depth setting next to the screen resolution - make sure it's 32-bit. The general screen properties for Windows will tell you if you're using 16 or 32-bit. And somewhere in the video card driver control panel there will probably be some mention about colour depth - again, you need to look to make sure it's 32 not 16 or 24. I hope that at least points you in the right direction.

Hi Ian, is your problem actually on? Here is that what i used and it´s really helping. Win7 64 bit WinXP 64 bit Do the nHancer Tips step by step, very great. Antialiasing is working on my system only in trilenar mode (clicking in Flightsim!!!), no anisotop. But the nhancer do than the thing. If you have a 64bit and more of 4GB RAM, try to forget your pagefile. Another Tool I don´t will miss is the FPSLimiter.

Well i brought the AMD Hexi core 1055t trademe deal $1066 and will put my 8800gts in it until i can purchase Nvidia 460 to pop into it ,the pros of being able to overclock the Cpu will make a huge difference and the ram can be jumped upto 16gig in the future ,i was really only aiming for the cpu and ram as i know everything else is easy to replace against the grain AMD /Nvidia combo /tongue.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= :P border= 0 alt= tongue.gif />

Cheers for that toprob, exactly as you said, a corrupt log book file, after deleting the file works a treat. Didn't worry about the fix as the logbook info isn't important to me, thanks again. /smile.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= :) border= 0 alt= smile.gif />

QUOTE (deeknow @ Sep 30 2010, 08:54 PM) Hey WB. I'd say you'll find a few volunteers to help you out if you dont fancy it yourself, myself included but got a few other things on my plate at the mo. Are there any particular probs your having setting up your own flight plans. I've done a bunch of them and once you get the system sorted they really arent too difficult. A bit of trial and error and a few sim restarts and hey-presto /biggrin.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= :D border= 0 alt= biggrin.gif /> Howdy /laugh.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid=...
