Thanks ZKIWI you have been a great help. I can modify the file, now it's just a case of fiddling with the values until I get it right. Thanks again.

QUOTE (Ian Warren @ Jun 5 2010, 11:07 PM) Hello Pete climbing through 1800 feet Many things are getting done , there are also many freeware d/loads to enhance areas to get you started . Thanks Ian for that.I am looking forward to that. QUOTE (husker @ Jun 6 2010, 11:15 AM) And for whatever reason in FSX world, NZ is much 'greener' in Summer - so make sure you set the season to Summer if you want greenness.... Cheers Husker.

Okay Ive found an AI Q300 which looks like it has seperate prop textures so they can be replaced - it also includes an Air NZ scheme - maybe this can be used to replace the other model? When I have time I will have a little experiment with this to see whether I can make it work.

QUOTE (s0cks @ May 29 2010, 01:04 AM) The GTX480 is currently the best card for FSX due to its huge buffer streams. But it will only support 2 monitors on a single card, and SLI in FSX is a no go. It can half your framerate. I'm not sure if the 5970 has the same effect (as it has two GPU's), but if does then the 5870 is your only real option. You pretty much have no other choice. Yeah, that's the conclusion I've come to as well. I've decided to go for a HD5870 for the outside views and a HD5770 for the instrument panel. I'll be picking up a second GeForce...

Chris , its like the old 'Ford' and 'Holden' debate or to us guys 'Boeing' or 'Airbus' .. I,m running the Saitek Yoke and throttles with CH rudders , the good thing with position is being able to return to the shop , the backup , its going to be interesting to hear after you have it setup and have it running after a week , how much it enhance,s adding a real feel floating on your PC chair with feet on rudders and yoke in hand . /winkyy.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= ;) border= 0 alt= winkyy.gif />

So can the saitec throttle be set up to run 2 engine throttles? As I was saying, the 4 engine b17 seems to be able to be set up to run with only two throttles. Not really flying the b17 much yet because my joystick only has 1 throttle on it and it will not let me marry all 4 engines onto the one throttle. at the moment I can't justify the 350 for the CH quadrant but do not want to put off getting something so i can fly my b17. The saitek pro throttle quads are going for 90 each, i could buy two if I can not do what i need with one. (as long as they will connect that way) Edit: well, found...

Ok, so $1000 isn't much to work with, when buying a whole new PC. Masman had a good build, but that shop has a rep for being terrible with aftersales support, which is not something you want to have to deal with if anything should go wrong or turn up DOA. Here is what I came up with from computer lounge (store is rated 5 star by GamePlanet): Again, no DVD drive (add $69 or use old one - you may need to buy one if your old one is PATA and not SATA). The memory is good and not just generic, its a mid-range quad core, and the GTS250 is a rebranded 9800GTX if memory serves me right....

I don't know about you, but my Queenstown manual has this: QUOTE Secondly there is Christian Stock’s FS2002 Lakes Fix that is mandatory for his scenery and also works for FS2004 (included in this package, installation instructions further down). This does not completely fix the problem of Lake Wakatipu being surrounded by towering cliffs but hugely improves it at least temporarily until Christian has released his brand new Lakes, Rivers and Roads Upgrade for FS2004 in a few weeks. You can see some screenshots at Robin’s site and below I have shown the differences between with or...

There was no path to the .exe in HKEY_CURRENT_USER but there was in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE. I deleted them and the game folder ready for a fresh install, but still I put the disc in and nothing happens. Tried it in my partner's laptop, nothing happens there either - maybe the disc is dirty.

QUOTE (Splitpin @ Mar 31 2010, 10:30 PM) Just loaded the FSX version of Rick Pipers 748, all's well except.....the area above the left panel has odd texture that moves like clouds. Also appears to be a hole down on the lower right area, near the rudder pedel that looks like a mirror. Is there a patch anyone knows of , never saw it FS9 . Not a major problem, but a bit distracting. Here is a pics of my 748 and a couple of the Argosy showing the holes in the VC they are in FSX DirectX 10 and Addon Converter X Mt Cook Hawker Siddeley 748 VC no holes these two are of the Argosy VC...
