try disconnecting every usb device attached, then connect the panel, see if it works, if it does add the usb devises one at a time and see if there is a confilict, i seem to remember reading some where that some other usb devices can cause issues, and for some strange reason i am thinking that they only really like USB 2.0, (could be wrong one that one)

QUOTE (Ian Warren @ Feb 22 2010, 01:35 PM) I have been experimenting with Track-IR , you with Force Feedback , I was a bit keen to try Track ir in BoB WoV but got sick of shooting things /biggrin.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= :D border= 0 alt= biggrin.gif /> QUOTE (Ian Warren @ Feb 22 2010, 01:35 PM) fact is you are operating a module away from Flightsim .. you can get the buffering and sink of turbulence on a screen but will not operate back to the stick , one reason i never purchased a FF control . Buffeting and turbulence are there in the ff in game I think, but...

QUOTE (deeknow @ Feb 6 2010, 09:00 PM) Hey Steve, First up, make sure you video card driver is up to date (visit the manufactures website) Then tune the following things in the Sim by going to "Options-Settings-Display"... Set Water effects to None Turn off Sun flare and Lens flare Turn off Ground scenery casts shadows Under the hardware tab set the resolution to the native one for your monitor (1600*900) then go through and set every other slider on each page to about 3/4 setting See how the frame rate is affected, if it looks much better just go through and slowly creep...

Have you watched many movies on that laptop? If you've not got oodles of memory to buffer the video, the drive never spins down and can overheat and wear out quickly. I think the PS2's also had this problem. Also, I've heard that excessive DVD burning can take you over a fixed "lifetime cycle" (as in a laser printer). A PC engineer told me that was a well kept secret. "Planned obsolescence" is the term /sad.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= :( border= 0 alt= sad.gif />

Just like Ian said - these are old. Most of the types of coding built in to FS95 and 98 models (such as transparency and coloured parts (not texures)) is not supported anymore, so there is nothing you can do to fix it.

I presume they do. What video card are you running? DX10 preview mode or normal? Looks like you may be "grabbing" a buffer frame. I agree with Timmo, though - latest...

Arrrrgh! Same thing has just happened to me, in exactly the same location during a Flight Sim Economy flight from NZWV-NZGB. Just cross the boundry into the photoreal Coromandel and ... bang ... CTD! Any chance those "pre-release" .agn files are still available? Don't want to have to download 42MB from Lawrie's site on dial-up. /sad.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= :( border= 0 alt= sad.gif /> Email is lgd14 at paradise dot net dot nz TIA

Great news!! QUOTE (Chairman @ Jan 1 2010, 09:32 AM) Step 2 - Spend an increasingly panicky few minutes now that both monitors are dead Step 5 - Seize x1950 in both hands, prepare to smash it on the edge of the desk ... Hehe ... been there ... horrible moment /winkyy.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= ;) border= 0 alt= winkyy.gif /> It seems to confirm my view about ATI drivers. Pretty good cards, but let down by the software. Glad you appear to have it sorted! I'll just look at your other thread!
