Yeah, I remember when it first arrived. I think the aircraft was perfectly serviceable and they were trying to get a permit to fly the thing. Government or whoever, wouldn't have a bar of it due to the fact it could fly faster than the airforce Cessnas... I mean Skyhawks /laugh.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= border= 0 alt= laugh.gif />

QUOTE (pilotgallagher01 @ Aug 12 2010, 11:46 PM) Ok guys, I've been shot lol I take my previous comment back, who the hell did I think I was saying something like that when I'm not even from Wellywood.. I guess like you said, Air NZ would have done there research, will be good to see the future changes happen... haven't landed at NZPP yet, though we were planning a south island trip this weekend via PP though weather isn't too flash so not this weekend.. Weather's been good here - you could have always come this far and stayed for the weekend! /smile.gif...

And hot off the press, Multi-Lateration is now operational in Queenstown......... "Queenstown MLat went live on the 2nd of August. The NZQN MLat system represents a significant deployment for the aviation industry, and consists of six interrogators, 14 receivers and 3 retrans sites, all networked back to a cental processor in NZQN Tower."

As long as t he guy is sober and not high when he gets behind the controls of the plane I really dont give a hoot how much he drinks or tokes up off duty. Last I checked we all have a right to lead our own lives and make our own choices... Mind you I laugh when I think about a flight back from Sydney I had. Met the Captain at duty free buying 2 40's of whiskey, said he was having a party tonight and flying to Honolulu the next day. mI was relieved to hear he was a passenger for that flight lol

QUOTE (A185F @ Aug 9 2010, 01:15 AM) This old bloke with an untold wealth of experience was more than happy to let me, a bearly 17y/o pimple faced cartoon (with next to zero experience on the licence and type, in crappy wx) and my same aged/faced mate fly him back to nelson whilst sitting compfortably in the back seats ! /laugh.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= border= 0 alt= laugh.gif /> Perhaps you had an honest / trustworthy face... /biggrin.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= :D border= 0 alt= biggrin.gif /> /tongue.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= :P...

What a waste of more good lives. The sad thing is, the technology that would help prevent these types of tragedies (ADS-B) is here now, but everyone is bickering about the cost of installation among other things. I know they always default back to "it's the pilot's responsibility to see and be seen" but the repeat pattern clearly suggests that talk alone is not enough.

I, in a sense, told the CAA in the covering letter with my license application that I wasn't doing their test ......... As I already held a JAR PPL I'd met the requirements - they didn't question my argument.

Depending on the depth available for mounting the ANR module, we can offer either the standard kit or the low clearance kit. I will post the depth required for each kit shortly. Since the C9073 is a David Clark clone, the safe bet would be our low clearance model. More specs will be available on our new ANR kits website shortly. Regards, Darin DM Electronics QUOTE (Syncop8r @ Jun 16 2010, 11:08 AM) Hmmm I wonder if it would fit my Altronics C9073 headset as it appears to be a David Clark clone.
