I bought a David Clark H10-13.4 off trademe the other day, and recieved it today. Cost me $218 shipped. It is an older model as it has the smaller (and now somewhat faded) headpad, and there is a dew specks of rust on the metal frame. Once I polish this off with a bit of autosol, they will look brand-new. It is very comfortable. All of the current instructors at my aero club use the 13.4's. I think mine were so cheap because they are quite old - newer 13.4's go for about $400 on trademe, and are $700 new. Can't wait to try them out once exams are over! I have...

Virgin Blue "error" upgrades passengers to gold status Friday the 13th strikes. Airline Virgin Blue has blamed an IT system error for accidentally upgrading ineligible members of its Velocity rewards program to “gold†status. An unknown number of customers received an email this evening saying: “We’ve got a treat for you - a free upgrade to Velocity Gold! Given you came so close to making it on your own, we wanted to say thanks so much for your ongoing commitment to the Virgin Blue Group, we really love having you aroundâ€. Gold status allows Virgin Blue Velocity...

I'd really hate to see the mighty 737-300s disappear from flying around the Auckland skys....its a real shame I think, they look like they have more "grunt" than the A320s. I reckon Air New Zealand should have just bought some 738s!

QUOTE are you thinking of goingto Massey because of the dregree you get afterwards lol al gud, if I was to go to massey it would be mainly for the 'uni experience' which would be really fun, its the only uni based av school in nz and I do really want to experience the uni life. The degree is a degree, im sure it would help me in a future aviation courier, but if it helps me more or less than what other aviation schools offer, I dont know, and is exactly why im checking out other schools like ctc

QUOTE (ZK-KAG @ Oct 22 2009, 11:22 PM) Word is the 40 Sqn 757's are moving to Ohakea in the nearish future due to the runway and the proximity of Linton Army Camp etc. I believe 42 Sqn (Kingairs) is moving to Whenuapai. This means the 757's will move into the 42 Sqn hangar (squeeze) and then maybe one 757 in 42 hangar and one in 3 Sqn hangar once the new one is finished for the NH-90's and A109's. The 757's may indeed move to Ohakea in the long term. But probably not untill the new airmovements terminal is constructed, which wont be started until the 3 Sqn...

Excellent stuff - I really can't wait to see the aircraft fly, I've always liked the Anson, even if it wasn't the most "glamorous" aircraft of WWII.
