You should move down to Blenheim then, it probably won't be too long before they are back flying again if the deal goes through.

The official website for the Deere Spitfire PV270 shows the aircraft will be at this show, piloted by Keith Skilling. For those of you who didn't see her in action at Omaka you are in for a treat /smile.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= :) border= 0 alt= smile.gif />

apparently a major cut for us starting monday /smile.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= :) border= 0 alt= smile.gif /> not sure but this might change which is cheaper to send my parents away for a anniversary holiday, going to Fiji (they are going on thursday) or going down south is. LOL, originally it was more to go down south than fiji so they took the cheaper tropical option but that might be different now. hmmm

QUOTE Yes there is oil there lots of it but the Government won't make much it'll be the oil companys who make the profits there Yes Private companies do get the oil profits, but why cant we have a state owned oil company, the biggest oil company in Norway is state owned QUOTE "almost all the revenues from the government-owned oil company, Statoil, be placed in an investment fund" , and even if the nz govt couldnt get its own oil company going, the govt owns the resource (all resources in nz is owned by right by the govt) and the private company will have to buy the right to...

QUOTE (PacificBlue @ Oct 6 2009, 06:37 PM) Sorry to dredge up an old topic but was that the one I saw that is still all yellow in AKL recently ? Does it still fly into Chch of an evening, and if so can I get the schedule for it, that way when im listening to the scanner I know who it is ! Yepp he is still yellow with no big titles. Probably he is flying at night time(after 10pm or so, cuz ive seen him flying only twice at day time(sat dep ex AKL and sun arriving)), however few days ago Toll priority 737 came to AKL and was standing at airworks hangar taking some maintenance...

Good on Richie. Ha ha Ian sooo true. He has more strike wings than the RNZAF. Love it. He has a real passion for flying, awesome. As you all know once you get the bug there is no going back.

In the USA, it's not the FAA who distribute met data, it's NOAA. In Australia, it's the other way around - Airservices do it. In New Zealand, it's not our ATS provider, but is our met provider. What I can't understand is why the data is so protected in NZ. Metservice share all their weather data but not their aviation weather. That is only shared with pilots and flight training schools etc. But why? Surely bandwidth can't be the issue. A METAR is far smaller than the satellite/rain radar/MSL analysis maps that they distribute to the general public. I understand that...

The pilot of the aircraft is happy to answer any questions you have about the incident and how it was handled etc as you may learn something that could save you if you end up in the same situation, although he is unable to comment until the investigation is completed, but feel free to start asking any questions either here or flick me a pm, and once the investigation is over I will either post the replies or pm them to you. Cheers /cool.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= B-) border= 0 alt= cool.gif />

I haven't been anywhere for years that I couldn't cover with well packed carry-on bags so no wait at all for me either - no baggage claim, I always use the red channel in the MAF quarantine because it's normally empty (I pack a sacrificial muesli bar specifically to declare) and out ... Best time from out the plane door to out the terminal door so far has been 9 minutes in Auckland, longest time was in Brisbane when we were the third plane in a bunch to land and that was still under 20 minutes. Mum and Dad are over flying with all the baggage limits and queues and security scans....

Yeah, thats what I heard too. Sure, they probably don't make that much money, but I would assume it's better use than having them sit around at Australian Airports all day.
