I think nearly every kid in a first world country was given a bike for birthday/Christmas somewhere along the line... I sold mine when I bought my first car though as it was rendered unnecessary. Lots of my mates drive motorbikes though- $20 of gas will get you way further than most 4 wheeled vehicles. They go on cool little day trips from Auckland to Thames, all round the Coromandel and back, and it only costs them about $60 in petrol money! I like to kayak by the way /smile.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= :) border= 0 alt= smile.gif />

Thanks yeah I just read this on the Air NZ website.. "For journeys on A320 and B767 aircraft (A320 aircraft will be progressively upgraded between August 2008 and February 2009)" So I'm guessing I'll get a tv because I'm going over on a 767 and I'll definitely get one coming back on a 777. Thanks for your help /smile.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= :) border= 0 alt= smile.gif /> (The reason I wanted to know was whether or not to pack extra things to do /smile.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= :) border= 0 alt= smile.gif />)

Back in the early 80's I used to fly with a popular "celebrity" for a local radio station in Auckland. We used to fly for an hour and a half in the morning and again in the afternoon checking on Aucklands traffic and passing it on to the listeners. We used to carry an Auckland city traffic cop in the early days and he could communicate with the central traffic comms unit. Eventually the Auckland city cops merged with traffic and then the police. The carriage of a police officer was dropped but the announcer was in radio contact with the central police comms unit and we could be...

And again: More Dreamliner delays for Air NZ Further production delays mean Air New Zealand now won't see the first of its new Boeing 787-9 "Dreamliner" jets till the first quarter of 2013 - more than two years later than originally planned. "Air New Zealand has had confirmation from Boeing that it can expect further delays in the delivery of its first Boeing 787-9 aircraft," a statement from Air New Zealand said today. Air New Zealand has eight of the aircraft on firm order. The first delivery was initially expected around the end of 2010, but in April Boeing said the...

QUOTE (victor_alpha_charlie @ Dec 23 2008, 04:07 PM) Really? Must've been a few years ago then. Never heard of Jerry. Those Post flights in the F-27 are awesome fun. Cheap way of getting back to Welly from Blenhole too /laugh.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= border= 0 alt= laugh.gif /> Jerry is one of the WWI Pilots at the airshows I think. /New_Zealand_etc.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= >nzflag< border= 0 alt= New_Zealand_etc.gif />
