ZK-JNO still isn't gone yet /laugh.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= border= 0 alt= laugh.gif /> off MRC Aviation QUOTE Jetconnect Boeing 737-300 ZK-JNO was dragged out of mothballs to fly a Christchurch-Auckland-Christchurch return this morning. This could happen again. Qantas may need the aircraft if they have "technical faults"

QUOTE (Gavin Conroy @ Jul 19 2008, 03:51 PM) I doubt it will be back as Bill is originally from the US and intends flying it home. It is currently having engine work done at Fielding. That's a pity that it won't be coming back. Engine work at Fielding, I wonder if I could go and see it (we might be going to Fielding soon to see my great grandma) /unsure.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= border= 0 alt= unsure.gif /> The Staggerwing is a masterpiece and so are the rest of these pics that I looked at today.

The top picture was taken in Winter and the rest in Summer at it is surprising how dry it gets here in the Summer. The Nanchang guys used my car as a team vehicle for that weekend. They have a big fridge magnet and take there pick of red cars where ever they go when they dont have the red Zephyr.

I don't think there's a petition yet. I guess we could set up an internet petition, but they're useless as far as I'm concerned. Much better to actually circulate a piece of paper and get some real signatures. Although I'm not sure if much could be done if the land's already privately held now. I guess you could try and stop resource consent going through or talk to the environment council for that area.

Never had a direct strike myself, but have flown a very hasty retreat from an over-developed thermal street over Mclarens Falls in the Lower Kaimais when it started to discharge... Frighteningly impressive, and bloody loud! Was particularly wary as it wasnt long after this lightning strike on a glider in the UK /sad.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= :( border= 0 alt= sad.gif /> While cruising around in wave conditions, I've seen/felt static charge building up, usually due to flying directly into wind - 90 degrees to the wave bar and just skimming through the top of the cloud (at...
