Another option for finding when aircraft are scheduled to arrive would be OAG. For Rarotonga, go to this page. Comes up with useful info. Only drawback is you need to enter in an airport/city code. You'll see how it works if you go there. :) Alex

QUOTE (benwynn @ Apr 9 2008, 08:53 PM) Yup thats right- Thats why I said some Routes- I find it hard to beleive they would fill a Q200 on there low capacity routes, but easily from AKL/WLG-BHE etc. RLK and Eagle have nothing to do with each other really, so it doesnt make a difference for maintenance etc. No Idea what Eagle will fly, theres nothing Brand New, or still in production, on the market for them :( No they don't at this stage, but should Eagle get the Q200, it largely removes needs for operating two wholly owned subsidiaries on two AOCs, so in that case they might have...

Personally, I still think it's too close to Auckland. I would have thought that the majority of freight companies would still end up delivering their goods to Auckland. The point being, a lot of the flights we see as carrying passengers actually carry a lot of freight. Freight keeps long haul services alive, in some cases. Auckland is always going to have these long haul flights with freight components to them. In other words, there's already regular carriage of freight heading away from this part of the island/country. The difference in travel distance by road from anywhere to...

The Ejet has had a big head start. The MRJ is probably too late to replace Air NZ ATRs - I'm picking that they will replace them with Q400s. Theres also the Sukhoi regional jet and then there is the Bombardier CJet (although thats a bit bigger at 100 or so seats) and the CRJ900 and then the Chinese also want to build one........... me thinks the market will get too crowded and some wil drop out just as it did with the smaller regional jets.

Yes there have been a few prominent racing drivers involved in air accidents in recent years - Colin McRae of course last year, a whole NASCAR team in a King Air crash in the US a few years ago, and David Coulthard was lucky to survive a Learjet crash in France some years ago which killed the pilots. I suppose they do travel by air very regularly though.

A340-500 and A340-600 i reckon look great, the length on them are amazing, and the thai/emirates/etihad/virgin atlantic livery looks great. I still think the 777-300 looks good along with the 787. 747's are great. I can't stand the Beech1900D ><
