Hey Guys For the people that chose "other" it would be great if you could explain what airport you think deserves international flights. It would be interesting to see what other airports people would like to see. I just chose a general list of cities that are more likely to get international flights. Cheers Daniel

QUOTE (Daniel @ Mar 29 2008, 02:57 PM) Hi Guys I just was on mrcaviation before and realised today it is Freedom Air's Final day. QUOTE (Trolly @ Mar 28 2008, 05:38 PM) Too bad, apprently they Bou sound pretty spectacular. Maybe next time.. use to see them regularly flying around the rukahia road(south hamilton) area - te kowhai areas or western side of hamilton down at about 50- 150ft back in the day - they are extremely slow and certainly have a distinct sound to them - certainly hear the radial engines a coming.

QUOTE (greaneyr @ Mar 27 2008, 06:46 PM) And Hamilton can?? Not in my opinion. If you are referring to Freedom, it's common knowledge that NZ is killing the brand and that they aren't keen to keep HLZ as a INTL destination. Kiwi operated from HLZ and did okay, but Freedom and a combination of other things killed them (read Dogfight by Ewan Wilson the ex-CEO if you don't already know about this. That book is  .) This one of the reasons NZ invests in their regional network (NZM, RLK, EAG) - to offer connections to international flights. They do this because they...

QUOTE (ZK-Brock @ Mar 24 2008, 09:12 PM) Dad owned a 100hp airtourer 10 years back... you can imagine how aeros went in it... Yeah, I bet a dive to VNE was the start to most maneuvers. WU aero club had one many moons ago also. She was nicknamed "Noddy" You always knew if you messed up a barrel roll, not forgiving with no power. Atest of skill and patients when flying one of these.

QUOTE (brotonee @ Mar 18 2008, 03:48 PM) The only unfortunate thing about cockpit doors is that they restrict any chance of a view in the cockpit and out the windshield!!!! :P Which sucks if you are in the front few seats on the 1900 which don't have side windows !! Deane

This is scary... I'm the first to upload pictures. Here's a quick taste of what we saw today. These ones are a little oversharpened but I wanted to get them up for people to enjoy. No cropping, levelling or editing apart from balancing the levels and resizing. I got there a little late (this was my compromise) so missed a bit, but I got photos of most the stuff I like. I had to put in two photos of this lovely display. Huey playing firefighter for a short time. They had two separate displays, both involving multiple helicopters, so I was a little spoilt for choice. This aircraft gave...

And, hopefully people can see it from the average Joe shareholder (of which I'm one), who can get $3.65 per share from CPP, or $2.20ish on the market. I'll put it out there that I haven't done anything with regards to this offer, but it's (really!) easy to understand why people are supporting the CPP plan to buy their shares. ;) I don't really have a strong opinion about this. :) Alex
