I think it was a given many weeks ago that the Spitty was a no go. It takes a wee while to ship over, assemble and test fly and as they said its missed the boat. Real shame, but thats red tape for you - if you make a rule and stick to it, then this sort of stuff happens. Deane

We've been hearing that Cresco doin its thing for a few weeks down here in the South Waikato... Made a passing comment to a work mate about a lot of topdressing going on out her way (she owns a farm out behind town) She said "Nah, looks like one of them noisy b@$%^*ds, but hes flying in long straight lines and had a long sting thingee hanging out the back" I came to the geophysical conclusion and gave her a quick explanation since I've seen them doing it in Aussie a few times. Glad to see i was on the right track!

QUOTE sadly ive got family to pick up from the airport in auckland that week ,so no go for me unless they want to fly me down aswell... Hopefully Auckland is fogged in and all international flights will be diverted to Ohakea for the morning again. Would sure add some extra entertainment for the audience seeing a A340 touching down in front of the crowdline! EDIT: Actually, forget the fog, I want nice clear views out the DC3 on the way down there!

I really don't remember being banned from anything. I was warned of certain things such as: Girls - Will spend ya money or get pregnant. Drinking - Will make you do stupid things (boy have I learnt that one the hard way). Driving - Don't speed or drink. Flying - All I heard was cool I will be the first one in line for a ride. QUOTE (Naki @ Feb 24 2008, 10:38 PM) Surely the Indonesians wont get them - that would be politically unacceptable (or suicidal) I would of thought That hasn't stopped them making bad decisions in the past! But you're right Indonesia should be about the last place they would send them. JM

Yes that MX-2 does have an impressive takeoff roll, it's usually airborne by just beyond the threshold markings at Ardmore.
