when did they stop flying 737's out of hamilton, there was always one departing in the morning, and one mid morning and another mid arvo, well when i worked there many moons ago, i know for a fact that Hawke's bay would fill jet services, but the -300's can't get in or out at working loads, so i guess they will be stuck. if they do aquire Q400's do they require the same runway lengths as the 737's or do they use the same length as the atrs. saabs etc?

QUOTE (Alex @ Dec 27 2007, 08:59 PM) I thought Richard was getting the free data through DAFIF, and that they stopped making it public. Also, just an excerpt from a Wikipedia perhaps shedding a little light on the situation... I was under the impression that Navigraph was already able to access the data (or some similar set-up involving Richard?)? Although, I admit it seems it wasn't directly their fault, rather some other guys who got a little possessive of their airspace data... :P Alex That's interesting Alex. I didn't realise Navigraph were already accessing the data....

QUOTE (benwynn @ Dec 21 2007, 10:36 AM) But Basically what I mean is- Once you get you Multi Engine, Gas Turbine etc you can really already fly a Beech 1900 fairly easily. But, as with a 737, you dont just pop down to the local flying school and jump in a 737 lol. Haha yea :P To get your 737 TR you have to do 10hrs in both the right and left seat B-)

Seeing there are a few helicopter fans here, I have just added some more photos to the working helicopters section on my website and will add more when I get a chance. Building the site up has been a big task but all the hard work is nearly done. Link Here: Cheers Gavin

Loic Jean Albert, in the video, was actually injured down at Wanaka on Tuesday in a crash landing, although fortunately not seriously.

QUOTE It is a total time of 200 hours and its around $40,000 to get your CPL and PPL It'll be more than that unless you don't do an instrument rating. Have a look at the cost of learning at one of the NMIT places: CPL Practical is 42000 (and will include your PPL) but there's also the 3800 for the theory, hour building if ya want to do it there, and C-cat if ya want, and ATPL subjects. That puts the cost well above $40k.

QUOTE (Charl @ Dec 20 2007, 11:37 PM) It could be candy-striped pink for all I care...biggest question is: how to get into the spare seat? I missed my chance at the MiG 29, would sell the dog for this one. Couldnt agree more Charl, Its a Spifire and thats all that matters. Sometimes colour schemes dont tell the full story until you see the aircraft in the flesh, different but it will look good for the camera and I am on the list for a fly. Was going to go to the UK in 2009 to see a few airshows but mainly to fly a Spitfire so may not bother going now.

QUOTE (Naki @ Dec 20 2007, 09:17 AM) Nice shots Gavin - thanks for posting here - that Spitty must be the nicest one in the world - potential Oshkosh winner? Definately, the aircraft is just incredible, more here:
