I loved it in CHC when this guy left these packages outside buildings and people thought they were bombs. One funny one was there was a package outside the police station which actually turned out to be someone's cut lunch.

Sorry about my comment about 777s, it's just a personal feeling. I didn't literally mean OLD, just that I hate flying them for whatever reason. Just a personal opinion, nothing to lose your temper over

Sorry, but just to add to my collection: On take-off from Sydney I was peering out the window and the pilot made an announcement which only caught a few words of which were don't worry...low...take-off and thats about all. Anyway we took of from 34R and made a right turn all of a sudden, the aircraft appeared to be dropping - I thought we were actually falling out of the sky. I came incredibly close to #$%@ (censored as there are younger people on these forums). After this I realised that the pilot had to do slow climb out of Sydney. Also while descending and landing into Melbourne,...

You can read about it in the definitive history of the C-130 "Herk: Hero of the Skies" if you can find a copy. It's a good read.

As ZKTOM said to me "If it's not Boeing it's not Going" Hey that's my punchline you thief! :ph43r: Jokes ;) 787- Step up in technology, A380- Step up in size. Simple as that The 787 to me will be great however as a passenger I'd prefer the A380-more space and luxury. The sheer size of the A380 is a tech. advancement it FLIES! The 787 is just an upgrade of a 767/737. I'd still rather crash in a boeing than an airbus though. Especially not the A380-too much fuel :(

I'd still buy one if I wanted one and had the money. I'd earn it back by running an airline :)

And some airforce pilots may be complete XXXXXXX We can guess what's been censored <_< . Kelburn think of the airforce like school that is streamed. It is more competetive. If you do get in it's like being in the accelerant classes becoz many many people are trying to get into it. Private is like a school that isn't streamed and anybody can do it. Think open kelburn coz some of your posts have very narrow ideas that only few people agree with. Eg. put yourself in another's shoes and see what they think. ;)

The Fletcher on the otherhand is a bit trickier. The piston powered ones (which are becoming scarce now) certainly have a distinctive sound, unmatched by almost any other aircraft. Some Fletchers have also been modified with turboprops. yeah id say that its a fletcher with the older engine flying by im told it mite be the owner on his way back and forth from work , Wasent there one with a V8 that was really loud ? i dont think it ever got cert i love them both equal and as long as i see one of the two in a week im happy

:plane: :plane: Both for me The guy who does the A cat Instructor stuff for auckland aero club, flys 737, still flys GA, and is an A cat Instructor not a bad life ay B-) Not me mate Mr Gemmel is it? Then I don't think he has anything to do with the AAC. The A cat, I took up for my flight test seemed petty nervous about prop hanging. I tick hobby, to many other things in life to do without having to go to work every day. Marcus

yep means the aircraft is being moved off track or given further descent and the controller is using the radar terrain map of the area to provide separation from the hard stuff. :)

Go and read the thread on pprune that Brock has in the 3rd post of this thread... it covers a lot of this material and even mentions the pitch tendancies of the aircraft... Ah, overlooked that, cheers.
