Thanks for all the advice people and thanks Dean for the list of airports I could not remember. All the PPL pilots that are going have flown the Milford Sound area at least once before plus there will be an Instructor on board as well.

Perhaps they can change the Adelaide tv ad now? "No longer flying direct from Auckland" Actually I think that Adelaide ad actually refers to Air NZ, who are still flying that route 3 times a week. But you're right benwynn, that route isn't big enough for 2, even when it's only 6 total flights a week. Perhaps the 737-300 flying that route for QF lost out NZ's A320 efficiency? Then again, QF has plenty of connecting flights within Australia, so no big loss for them.

Those people that live there, do they even own their houses or does the state? they arent exactly the nicest........ then the other end has that marae that always complain (or so ive heard) Right on the southern threshold there I think the houses are owned by people (although wouldn't suprise me if they were owned by the state). But just about 1km down the road there are some really nice places. They don't want to extend to the north because there is a forest of Kahikatea (sp) trees (which the local iwi protested wildly at when it was proposed they be trimmed so as to prevent them...

Grumman Grumman Grumman Grumman Grumman Grumman Grumman  , the cessna and cirrus would also be good though. Bah, Cirrus' have too much computer screen and not enough dials for my liking; might as well play Flight Simulator. :P

I beileve the Navy uses the Lear 35 (ZK-XVL) that is based at Ardmore and they have used the A-37 as well. I think they have used the Hunter as well. The A-37 is moving to Tauranga and the Hunter is already here so I am not sure whether these are used any more to simulate attacks/anti shipping missles, but no doubt the Lear or a Lear is still used.

Got to go with the 757 mate. They are great aircraft. If anyone flys propeller aircraft for an airline what is it like in terms of excitement? Well, as far as excitement goes in any kind of airliner, I don't think you could really go past the 757 :) Do remember that when you go job hunting you'll probably fly any aircraft you get offered :)

A plane is only as safe as the person who is driving it. Or in airbus's case; the computer driving it  Clippy: It appears you are trying to fly a plane... would you like help? <_<  Don't think I'd want a BSOD at 35000' :ph43r:

Nice shots Brock, looked like a fun day :) What's happening with those Origin Pacific Jetstreams now that they're not flying any more? Are they going to be sold or just left there to rust? Air National have brought a couple of them I think.
