Howdy, What about the smaller carriers eg Air2there, Mountain Air, Vincent Aviation, Air National etc etc etc. Some are charter yes but some have fixed schedules so hows this a reflective poll? Semantics, actually. :D The latter three examples are really (semi-scheduled) charter operations. Air2there is, at best, a regional air service. A2T's "zoning" system does allow pax to travel outside the home zone, but you still have to charter an a/c ... and ... ensure you fill the minimum # of seats needed before they will fly you to a location beyond their home "band".

I had the fingerprints taken (first time in my life) when I transitted the USA, and felt like a criminal then. Not sure why SAS are doing this, perhaps there is some pressure from outside of Sweden, but it is a worrying trend.

Great shots, would love to go to Paris airshow myself one day. Hope to make it over to Avalon for the Aussie Airshow next year though. Apparently there will be a Raptor there, here's hoping :D

Love the S340 shots and the Atlas Air 74, saw one of them at CHC a couple of months back - dropping off props for a movie apparently :)

Amazing photos mailman! Do you think you could post them in a seperate thread please, as there is now so many images in this time, it will take a very long time for slower connection users to load. Also, if you title it A380 photos, I think it will gain some more interest- I can't wait untill the first one arrives at Auckland :D

Yeah, I was in that carpark. I've noticed that some of the Qantas 767s still say "Spirit of Australia" on them, not sure whether they'll all eventually say "The Australian Airline" or just some. Still, it adds a bit of variety so I'm not complaining. ;) I use a Canon EOS350D, and my lens that I used for taking those photos is a 90-300mm one, although I have a couple of smaller ones that I sometimes use also. (e.g. photographing planes up close at Ardmore and airshows I sometimes use the stock 18-55mm lens that comes with the 350D)

I'm glad you enjoyed yourself Jimmy! I had an intro flight for my birthday once, this was back in England quite a few years ago, and I remember how much fun it was to fly a real plane rather than one on the screen! It is so much different from the sim, but at the same time, it is good to know your basic aircraft facts for real life which you gain from experience from sim. Steep turns are awesome- there is no way fs2004 can create those G force you feel :o Thanks for sharing your story mate!
