The 138's which is JT model really are a very pretty machine, shorter with under fuselage fin .. they are the SPs of the 707s , I guess you would have to live in Auckland and been a regular out at the airport to track the first decade and follow up into mid 1980s to follow thru with 707 arrivals .

Wewak PNG now listed as an Int'l , back in 1998 It was no bigger than Hokitika, mind you it was international flight in some sense, I come down from Malaysia for a day.

Not happy times for Airwork pilots at the moment unless you are 737 rated :( That is an area I never thought off , deleting the the old machines , with your hours what would it take , and the cost to step up and transition to that rating?

Thanks for all your kind words guys, have been for a few since, and passed my ASL Flight Planning and Navigation exam last weekend, so I'm on my way! And you probably got those skill , flight planning and Navigation from flight sim ... , Your on your way B-)

Hi Ian It seems Prince Harry is down my way already which might explain the 2 NH90 in close formation im not sure if he had any meet and greets in Invercargill today but if this is anything to go by it seems they are making good time would have loved for them come just a tad closer to my place for a good shot of the Nh90 its one of the perks of having my parents place right in the middle of the Invercargill flight paths so they have no choice but to fly right over head :) would have loved to meet the guy even if from a distance but for now I will make do a pic I took of his older brother and...

So they should , they have only recently gone through re-winging and avionics/glass cockpit , be no reason why they cannot last into 2030.
