QUOTE (Ben @ Jul 1 2014,2:27 PM) Its a cessna thing not piper. If you look at most of the Trumahawks on trade me the wing spar life is almost out or engine needs overhaul. Wanginui aeroclubs tomahawk is for sale for 12k. Its had a bad prop strike however so will need the engine overhauled. Good point Ben..

QUOTE (HamiltonWest @ Jun 29 2014,8:13 PM) Young pilot 'did everything right' Not the only emergency at Ardmore today. A student pilot had a radio failure and was trying to find his way back. Had to contact via cellphone (Which kept dropping out). This was 5 mins after the crash. Was a good day at the office for me...

I'd like to say its because the country has been run by a particular left wing hippy hermaphrodite (which is largely true)..but I guess major difference is the company will be being paid HUGE money to operate them by the US DOD,.....which the US government will pillage from other countries because it doesn't actually have any money itself,...either that or just go print some more ..,..perhaps the NZ government could print some more currency so we could have so aircraft carriers to carry our NH-90's and LAV's that none of our C-130's can take lolol..

QUOTE (cowpatz @ Jun 27 2014,2:39 PM) It's what happens when Psychiatrists are let loose in aviation. On landing I commonly hear .. Retard Retard ... that is not sending a good message ... miss-spell it "Your a RETART RETART" not a good thing I'm guessing .

QUOTE (SUBS17 @ Jun 26 2014,4:36 PM) And Aim 9 sidewinders lol. One dose have to think .. What the hell are they thinking .. that is so 1982 .. to delete a NZ strike force only to plop sidewinders onto an aircraft that in its lineage was an airliner ... that's like handing Mary-El or Jim-Bob a M61 mini gun to pop a try and shoot a squirrel for grandma to cook ! .... the Squirrel was better armed and lived .. it could out run the fire .

QUOTE (cowpatz @ Jun 16 2014,10:38 AM) It is a real shame that a re-egine option, plus a winglet mod like the 767, was never offered for the 747-400. I guess that was never looked at due to the pending 747-8 (which came along just too late). I'm just pleased you gave me us the Head Ups when that 747 was doing it training flights and circuits around Christchurch - full screen

QUOTE (Charl @ Jun 7 2014,2:45 PM) Well we don't really know anything about the A350 yet do we? Tell you what: as I walk from the departure lounge through a tube into the belly of the liner, I don't really notice, or care, how gorgeous is the nose of the craft from the outside. The passenger experience is what counts, and when booking I find an A380 going near where I want to be. Unbeatable. Would like to try a B789 though when it comes. Charl , i was reading something the other day regarding one of the Gulf operators , and their super luxury A-380's . A butler and a chef...

Ever dreamed of flying a rescue helicopter or landing on a naval ship? Call 09 983 2254! Well .... it would be $200 well spent , cheers Ham ...Im thinking /winkyy.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= ;) border= 0 alt= winkyy.gif...
