QUOTE (FlyingKiwi @ Jul 23 2012,12:19 PM) I'm an instructor at Auckland Aero Club so you can guess who I'm going to try and sell to you. /winkyy.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= ;) border= 0 alt= winkyy.gif /> You've definitely done the right thing in visiting lots of different places - everywhere will try to sell you why they're better than everyone else, so ultimately it's down to who you think is right for you. Unless you're planning on doing the full PPL, CPL, MEIR, Instructor Rating sequence I would tend to avoid the flying schools purely because...

Congratulations, that's a big achievement and a flight you'll remember for the rest of your life, not that many people have flown an aeroplane by themselves so to be part of that group is something special.

Yip it was a good day, will be nice to see the Yak 3 and Fw-190 together at some point. The 190 is having its annual done and should be flying again soon.

QUOTE (FlyingKiwi @ Jun 23 2012,7:04 PM) That isn't the pilot in the photo. It is a flyable aircraft - a pretty snug fit I'd imagine though, you certainly wouldn't want to be particularly tall. Strictly a single seater of course so the initial news report that there were three people on board is a little bizarre. Look at the vids I posted. It is for sure a piloted aircraft, I have seen it myself on a few occations. My suspisions over its recent sale were correct. It was been flown home just after purchacing when it lost power. Latest news link is below.
