Upcoming technology for Airliners and aircraft is something which extends the aircrafts range. This also enables fighter jets to cruise using much less fuel. The technology involves something new for the engine which means it can operate with more power while the engines are not burning fuel or have the fuel cut off completely. This new technology is DECS COMPATIBLE.

I was at Omaka and saw ZK-NVY tip over. It was quite a windy day which made for some super STOL activity. I doubt some of the STOL landings will be beaten in a hurry, and The only time I have seen an aircraft fly backwards! After NVY tipped over they ended the competition.

This post was started as New Non Stop Service but has now been taken over by algorithm which is totally another subject altogether and apers to be creating some friction between members so I have now locked this post If SUBS17 wants to start another post on algorithm he can and if you other guys want to discuss the new non stop service I suggest you start another post on it also but keep the two subject separate.

"I hope they look after her." was my polite way of saying what you have both mentioned. The last time I was down there, the outside exhibits were nothing more than sad. The Loadstar "flew the coup" was a rotting mess. Even some of the inside aircraft were in a sad state... birds pecking through the fabric etc.

There are two Boing VC-25's in the video but there can never be two Air Force Ones. Air Force One is the call sign for the aircraft carrying the President of USA at the time, regardless of aircraft type. Unless the Lizard overlords have cloned the president, there is only one POTUS. Not only that but how many Boeing 747's are there of that type! So Presidents aside does the United States of America have a spare 747 of that type? I can tell you it is two from somewhere else. :plane: I'd consider this Histories Air Force one as most likely to be the most high tech out of all of them though....

There is new technology coming for the LC130 including AUTO-PILOT, HIGHLY ACCURATE NAVIGATION SYSTEM and new radios that use SATELLITE MICROWAVE BROADBAND INTERNET. New Helmets with Helmet mounted displays. The future is good for the C130.

Without changing the topic from the previous video here's a relatively recent video of an ATR experiencing what can only be described as a 'Brown Pant's moment' on departure giving a good demonstration as to why you shouldn't change configuration when experiencing wind sheer. 'Brown Pant's moment indeed Sir .... bloody hell .

Thanks Radar88 for all kind answers, explantions, and hyperlinks. I already saw those videos before. I was trying to find specific RAF DC-3s/C-47s that Aussie pilots and NZ pilots flew in Berlin Airlift. I guess it is not going to happen as you said it would be impossible to find which DC-3/C-47 registration number. Regards, Aharon

Inetresting ...there is an article on this in the latest Air International.. Sounds Air are supposed to getting this ... I'm not holding my breath.. Looks like that has been confirmed today with a Stuff news article reporting. Sounds Air expects to be flying passengers across Cook Strait in electric planes by 2026. The airline announced on Wednesday it was on track to make history as the first airline in Australasia to pioneer electric air travel. 'Couldn't be prouder': Sounds Air locks in electric plane deal

Has Air NZ been approached for sponsorship? Admittedly a bad time for it but it would make a great flying test bed for alternative fuel trials.
