QUOTE (creator2003 @ Jul 19 2011,10:45 PM) Simply some contact by the vendor asking if it was ok to use Oceania autogen textures ,Able Tasman and whatever else i made in a commercial simulator would have been nice ,i guess ill wait to hear from him if he intends on using any of my scenerys in simpit, im very approachable and have always been most helpful . Thats reasonable request is it not ? Absolutely. A very reasonable and pragmatic approach. I was trying to tease out a few thoughts with respect to intellectual and property rights / copyright issues in general and the fact that...

Frankly we should have stayed with the Americans , they go on about Nuclear Power which we should have , New Zealanders cant even clean up the mess,s everywhere around icon areas , load double talk and as for the greenies maybe they should clean there back yard up first , boy some parts are a hell of mess , ME - as for trusted aircraft all appear to be USA - C130/P3/the Boeing,s ..oh the Skyhawk , ..... now maybe we should simply buy Chinese , cheaper ? .. Global World Economics and Politics - we should have kept it regional 'Oceania' Pacific rim and USA .

QUOTE (Ian Warren @ Jul 9 2011,1:45 PM) Well that,s good news , museums and private owners now have a more potent strike force than the RNZAF /tongue.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= :P border= 0 alt= tongue.gif /> They have for quite some time /tongue.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= :P border= 0 alt= tongue.gif />

Ahhhh the old "quadrapuff"... 4 furnaces connected by an electrical fault... You know what the Whisper Jet has 4 engines? Because they'd couldn't fit 6 on it!

QUOTE Are you currently doing the papers? I have progressed much further into tertiary study. I was amongst the first NMIT studets so you are going back nearly a decade but I made a conscious decision I was going to do them (I elected to do Massey papers) and simply continued with study. Flight training, working and studying one or two papers a semester is not a big task, I would estimate it to be easier in fact than a type rating/line training that goes along with that job you've always wanted. You are right and I agree it would be a good idea to allow people to complete them at a later...

QUOTE (connor @ Jun 23 2011,4:50 PM) I'm no military strategist, but doesn't it sound like a bad idea to "consolidate air force and army operations into a single Manawatu hub centred at Ohakea,"? Just seem like a bad idea in a defense situation. /unsure.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= border= 0 alt= unsure.gif /> Its got nothing to do with "defense" any more - hasn't been a "defense" decision made about the armed forces in this country for decades...its all about money now...

QUOTE (Charl @ Jun 17 2011,8:36 AM) Marty this is a great series you are showing us - I hope some of these can be worked into the exhibit. Yeah that shot mating the wing: I swear the Airfix model worked exactly like that. And just use the pin with a drop of glue, if it smeared it would ruin the rivet line! Charl, there will be a set of photos showing the whole process on display with the aircraft in about a weeks time, i think the public will be interested in seeing that.

Same thing happened to late Colin Paye in 1988 during the Australian Bicentennial Airshow , Sir Tim Wallis's Griffon almost did the same in his Mk14 at the VE Day show at Wigram in 1995 , part and parcel with high power , thin wheels and narrow gear , ironic , not sure the practice anymore - the props being of wood - Made in Germany /biggrin.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= :D border= 0 alt= biggrin.gif />
