Shite of a time at the moment ...... i try not to think about it to much ... hence some of my odd posts (sorry), but everytime i visit the olds ( and thats everyday x 2) i see the old man slipping away . Took him for a haircut today , he looks good , but he's 100% stuffed after a 1 hour outing ..... will be fast asleep now .... It really makes me mad , he did so much , gave so much .... i know he's only 81 .... but to end it like this . Anyway , what a night (evening) no wind , 18c , amazing clouds , the birds are happy with their cooked rice and peas (dont ask ) Not sure where this...

QUOTE (Naki @ Oct 1 2014,8:39 PM) Hmmm and we don't have squat Still recall the quote and call famous , by Graham Bethel "New Zealand have become the scabs of the Pacific" this was point at the decision when RNZAF strike wing was deleted , I talk to a lot of RNZAF peoples and they are also still heated up over the entire ridiculous debacle, it was a bloody insult as well.

QUOTE (deeknow @ Sep 25 2014,6:45 PM) Mmmm... Mr Lockheed will be relieved I'm sure. It would be more interesting to see how the aircraft feared and details off the strike and what they did.

*BING* "Ladies and gentlemen we will be starting our in-flight dinner service shortly. Some of you may notice a small rise in temperature. This will be on account of us opening the door and holding a chicken outside the aircraft. Freshly cooked meals are a pride here at What Are We Doing Here? Airways"

Heard one a while back where the woman controller got her own back on one captain that went the wrong way made him taxi around to a holding park and kept him there for over half an hour then told him he would save everyone a hell of a lot of time if he was to listen and follow the instructions the first time.

Given its Election eve and I'm sure we're all pretty much sick of hearing everything other than actual policy discussion from any candidates this year, I'll give you the benefit of doubt Gary and assume you've blindly posted that here for some light hearted relief, and not suggest that you actually endorse the BS sentiment within. I would point out that should any right wing nutters actually want to read more of this sort of clap-trap then they might like to visit the apparent source (which Gary has not credited for some reason) at the following site: I personally hold a very...

I remember in the early 1960s, Jack Brabham's car came quite spectacularly undone on the Home Straight at Brands Hatch - metal bits and oil smeared over about 200m of the track. The Beeb TV commentator at that time was a mad Scot named Fyfe Robertson, who had a real gift for stating the bleedin' obvious. He interviewed Jack in the pits: "You're out of the race, Jack - what was the problem?" "Ignition failure" "IGNITION FAILURE???" "Yair, Fyfe, the conrod came through the block and cut the lead from the battery...." /laugh.gif style=...

QUOTE (cowpatz @ Sep 12 2014,10:42 AM) Having unskilled workers working on aircraft scares the hell out me. They lack the thinking processes and ingrained safety culture that comes from years of training. I have witnessed it first hand myself when car mechanics were first introduced into the industry. I'm gonna have to watch this one because I do know that large parts of this aircraft are manufactured by Fuji Heavy Industries in Japan, and they don't hire unskilled workers...
