Of course we are not party to Emirates' business case, so it's pure speculation what drives their fleet choice. Interestingly, they appear to be looking at expanding the A380 fleet, as well as adding B777-X The biggest winner, ironically is the A330. With the B787 programme slippage, it cleaned up that market sector. In fact, it is probably the A350's biggest enemy...

Thanks Les, It's my bane, I never got married other to a library and the love and lust for most everything that go bang and crash, today you get Utube and doco TV I still believe in the books for example, I have six specialized on the B-17 Flying Fortress, never believe what you read in one book or recent publications or buy a couple to cross reference information and details then you those doco's top ... another good thing is go and meet the people at aeronautical society meetings and have a good chin wag.
