Not sure why they use a random Marque IX Spitfire picture when they have a perfectly good example on the airfield.

QUOTE (Fozzer @ May 3 2014,10:47 PM) Just read your first Post, Marty... ..and I am amazed/surprised!.... /ohmy.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= :o border= 0 alt= ohmy.gif /> ...! I would never have thought that New Zealand contained those sort of "Low Life" in its population....! New Zealand is also clean and green, suicide is ripe (pity some don't) - But after my battle I got rid of the convicts next door a month back and neighbourhood has returned to normal , yes indeed you still get the "Low Life" and strangely the idiots put them into a...

QUOTE (Charl @ May 3 2014,12:04 AM) Yes. Extreme circumstance is now needed, strange after 9/11 for the few years after, if you - as early as it was you had to pay huge dollars to track aircraft , the millions of people who do it today for fun may have picked up the anomaly, and the with the network would have questioned it . All the security means damn diddly swat if the driver (for the kiddies) looses his bean chair, maybe they should allow aviation enthusiast in the cockpit to monitor the flight crew .. damn funny how .. well ya damned if ya do and ya damned if you don't !

QUOTE (jastheace @ Apr 26 2014,11:36 AM) yup i agree, grandfather wasn't in combat per see, but worked on the machines that did and lived with the men who flew them, he never talked about what had happened over in the islands, in fact he never really talked about much during the war period at all. a true generation of men and women who did what had to be done, but didn't like anything about it, goes for both sides of the war too. "goes for both sides of the war too " very true .... /thumbup1.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= border= 0 alt=...

with the prospect of having to work until i am 90 (keep going gov that we can't vote for, and who will retire at 50 with full perks for rest of life) i say get the latest and greatest a/c the air force can, but instead of cutting the pension and raising the retirement age, how about getting rid of the bloody polly perks they get. after leaving office, make them go and join the working class and make them retire on what they seem to see fit to give to the pensioners now. that would save money and also make the pollys realize what a load of B.S. they are piling out now. don't get me...

Marty, your video link got me song-hopping on Youtube last night, which killed an hour... Songs which mean a lot to me generally have good memories attached, and the link led to some real treasures from that era -- for example, Grace Slick was a gem, that's for sure. My son and daughter-in-law are expecting their second, and I've been lobbying for 'Lather' as a name... So far they don't seem impressed. I do go along with Paul, life can be a real #####, and everyone has bad stuff happening at some stage, so you need to scramble for some sort of balance by appreciating the...

Cheers Marty, they appear to be brand new .. a step back in time, I guess all the holes were cut out and strengthened making it cheaper .. and then the cheaper re-engine already done would have been surplus to the USAF, then course it is a Boeing /smile.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= :) border= 0 alt= smile.gif /> ....... Taxi speeds .. just trying to get to the pub quicker /winkyy.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= ;) border= 0 alt= winkyy.gif />

QUOTE (Charl @ Apr 21 2014,11:16 AM) Yeah... around the 2 minute mark he wussed out: he rolled 110 on the left leg of the zigzag, and then came back through 0 for the follow through. Mine go all the way through 250 for the exit. And as SUBS points out: 100 ft lower /cool.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= B-) border= 0 alt= cool.gif /> Afterward, I walk as if I just got off a pony... Actually... in the video clips archive I have just such an item, involving transit from NZQN to Milford Sound in an A-4K. "Afterward, I walk as if I just got off a pony..." /laugh.gif...
