QUOTE (Ian Warren @ Jan 12 2014,12:18 PM) Arrr yes but if they are "buckroo's" and not strapped in , a heavy landing is going to cause a whole lotta hurt ! From what I recall its 20+Gs that they can take although they may not have been strapped in or been inside the aircraft when the crash happened.

Nick's reply is spot on. Depending on aircraft type an autoland must be logged every so often to keep the validation current. Also the flight crew must do one every so often as well to maintain their currency with them. Typical values are an autoland every 28 days for the aircraft and every 3 months for the PIC. When the conditions are around Cat 1 minima the localised areas around the localizer antennae (call sensitive areas) need to be protected to ensure no interference to the signal. On a VMC practice autoland the approach and or tower are advised. You may hear them respond with...

The original AK 47 was good in one point. There was no stoppage of the gun. In mud, in Rain, under circumstances an G3 or an M16 was out of order, the Kalashnikov still firing. The range was about 350 Meters, but at this it was inacurate. No two AKMS are the same. First if you got a new weapon, you must see if she is steering to the left or the right and then compensate. A lot of adjusting and maintenance was nessesary to get a real good AKMS. After one year i have a really good weapon, but than came the AK 74M. The AK 74 was more sensitive. We good two accidents with this. On guard and in...
