QUOTE (Charl @ Dec 31 2012,7:17 PM) Mighty generous, Marty... I too am in the business of offloading! Anyone who fancies any of the damaged goods in the line-up above, excepting 2nd column from left (currently flyable!) is more than welcome to them. First PM secures. Happy new year Charl .

QUOTE (jastheace @ Dec 31 2012,2:33 PM) those Russians seem to have cameras in almost anything with wheels judging by the amount of videos on the web, Yeah, quite bizarre aye, seems like every second video on youtube is a russian car crashes hilight movie. Maybe its a self-protection thing for evidence when someone inevitably bangs into you?

Thanks mate, i have bugger all multi as well but its based on an overall picture of how you do on a combination of several things. I know guys with heaps of multi if r time who didn't get in because the standard should have been better in the sim test it really is an attitude thing and to a certain extent how well you go over the 2 days

QUOTE (Charl @ Dec 19 2012,5:40 PM) Mmm it's a very old joke and I think some of the numbers would have changed somewhat over the years... Meanwhile I recently upgraded an interesting iPad App called Flightradar24, now you can point your thing at the overflying machine, and it will tell you what it is, and where it's going! Thanks for the HU- downloaded the free version and installed on my Iphone ...will upgrade to pro

Yes, hence the quotes around emigrated. The story is that my family, suddenly "disinherited" of their lands and estate by a large group of angry people waving pitchforks, torches & other assorted weaponry, had the privilege of gracefully exiting the country in a dung cart that also had a load of straw (extra...

Long haul flying is really horrible, it was glamorised the same way smoking was, by fresh-faced models who didn't partake much in the product. Imagine trying to simulate the experience at home, all the things you have to add: dry air recycling 517 brands of infection, queues for the loo, plastic food, oh it's a long list... Thank heavens for the interwebby thing, it's changed the need somewhat. Having said that: The front end of an ANZ B777 in that herringbone layout, is as close to flying perfection as you could hope for. As to the big 'Bus, depends whose it is. I tried...

QUOTE (AdrianPetford @ Dec 8 2012,1:26 PM) I don't envy you, Marty. I found the whole experience of seeing the red zone very unsettling last year and that was just looking over the cordon. The thing which has stuck in my mind ever since is how the traffic lights constantly flash amber, on and off. Glad I was able to visit the brilliant Cashel Street restart mall right afterwards, an ingenious new hope on the edge of the wreckage. Two of the people people tragically lost in the Auckland tornado yesterday were building what will be my niece's school in a few years' time and...

A very interesting looking thing , was an article on the news last night about the Chinese build up in the Pacific and through Indonesia , Timor ... i'd love to be around in another one hundred years with this country building or increasing their arm forces and everyone else cutting back .
