Great video.....and really useful as I'm part way through modelling it for FSX /smile.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= :) border= 0 alt= smile.gif /> I always seem to forget to take a few photos for context which can make it quite hard to place a lot of similar looking hangars!

QUOTE (Ian Warren @ Mar 21 2011,5:33 PM) My fave would have to be the MUS /smile.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= :) border= 0 alt= smile.gif /> , he'd be the one who own these cars /biggrin.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= :D border= 0 alt= biggrin.gif /> Actually the owner of MUS has an identical car to this as his daily: Still, with a 580bhp Twin Turbo Lambo V10 you wouldn't complain. Owning a $5 million jet probably more than makes up for it anyway /tongue.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= :P border= 0 alt= tongue.gif />

Interesting news. Would probably bet this has something to do with the Skywest takeover. Hopefully there will be some sort of logical progression from the ATR's over to the E-Jets or the 737s. Unlike Qantaslink currently..

Who would *want* to beat it ? 2 people living for 65 days in a C172 cabin smaller than a single bed ? Even if it did have a retractable platform out one side ... I guess with a better autopilot you could do it solo - just put the plane into a racetrack pattern then stretch out to sleep on the side with no seat (and no door) ... actually Tom and Ben are starting their course in April in Christchurch but I think the flat they had lined up is a bit kaka, this could be a solution for them ? /tongue.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= :P border= 0 alt= tongue.gif />

This is my home town and my parents and relatives were caught up in this so I have had a very sleepless night worrying about all of this. They are thankfully fine. My thoughts are with the victims and families of those that didn't make it. The crisis isn't over yet and I am hoping and praying that they can pull more folks out of the rubble. John

QUOTE (Timmo @ Feb 20 2011, 02:58 AM) Those are the pros of course....but there are many cons: I for one 'flew by the instruments' a lot when I started flying in real life as that was the best way to accurately judge height/pitch in early FS- It took a while before I learned to fly with my eyes outside and to confirm what I was seeing with instruments. Same - I didn't nail things like steep turns properly until I finally listened to my instructor and looked at the nose in relation to the horizon, occasionally confirming on the instruments, rather than looking at the...

Also , along these lines ....Im researching another relative who was killed in action on 23/24th of september 1942. He was Sgt John Wllace Henry 26 years old (rear gunner) on Lancaster W4230/P of #9 SQN , 5 group...based at Waddington. Ive found pictures of his grave in Denmark ....but i would like a picture of the aircraft(or him), from what i can gather the aircraft was brand new...first op, and shot down over Denmark, and crashed into the sea north of Lollond Island...all 7 were killed. His body and one other were found and buried at Svino(southern Zealand Denmark).....the others are still...

QUOTE (Olderndirt @ Feb 15 2011, 04:03 PM) 603 (City of Edinburgh) squadron - thought I recognized that number. My home town from birth through 14, then lookout USA. They were undoubtedly stationed at RAF Turnhouse, now the Edinburgh city airport. I remember in the early post-war years, riding my bike over to watch the first Gloster Meteors taking off and landing. My Grandfather told me of watching the Turnhouse Spits running off some Luftwaffe bombers attempting to bomb the Forth Rail Bridge - all they hit was water. OD....what a small world....so your a scot...hoots mon,...
