QUOTE (K5054NZ @ Nov 9 2010, 12:03 PM) Very nice to see the P-40 looking so complete! Surely there can't be much farther to go with her? No....not much more to do.....lots of new panels all ready to fit, then the cockpit fit out. Im back in that hanger on thursday, so I'll see if i can get a time frame for you.

Still One the safest airline to Fly with , what happens when you offshore aircraft structure fix/engine fix's and maintainace - maybe the local public should start questioning this .

QUOTE (mechaneer @ Oct 12 2010, 11:56 AM) Does anyone know who performs the maintenance for the Canterbury Aero Club aircraft? I was going to mention them but thought you might be after something bigger... (aircraft-wise that is)... They employ their own engineers - at least a couple.

I have a full set of scale 1/4 plans for a RC Fu 24, had them laminated and brought some of the balsa and spruce for building. The wing span alone is just over 3m. All the ribs, spar and fuselage pieces are all to scale. One day I will get round too building it.

The one at the foot of the Mount is where I use to go during my childhood weekends with my grandparents, the missus and I also got married on the beach there, up near the war memorial. Near that camp you do have the hot pools, but there's really only one direction to go from there, and from what I can remember there isn't much there. The cafe (can't remember the name) near the camp site has awesome food /smile.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= :) border= 0 alt= smile.gif />

Thanks for that Ian. I've sent AVSIM an email so hopefully it should be fixed sometime this year. EDIT: Ok, it's working now. I switched to Firefox and all is working. Was using IE8.

Thanks Paul. Yes I'm very often round Skagway. But not alone, 'cause other bush pilots are with me. www.bush-pilots.net is my (german) forum.

Despite figuring on this thread a year or so back using AVG, I switched to Avast which I used for some time, before advice put me onto MSSE as above. I have used this now for about 6 months and quite like it, very unobtrusive, and recommended by a lot of technical people.
