Yeah I have been running the RC version and it is great. Clean, quick and peripherals install easily. My Vista is turning into a dog. I now get a random Windows explorer application hang when opening files (bloody annoying and requires an application restart and I also get the dreaded blank network box which I need to fix from time to time. Still microsoft have managed developed a unique form of mind control that makes these faults magically occurr when you most need them not too....amazing! I am just hoping my Vista install can limp along long enough until W7 is released. I do not want...

it is amazing the power that one man can have and acheive, so many good men and women were lost on both sides, myself having war vets from both wars (WWI, WWII) in the family (as most other families would have) never got to meet my great grandad and my grandad never talked much about it either, too many people died let us hope that none of us never have to live through what the veterans went trough. germany was very close to winning, espically if some crucial plans had been followed through, the jet aircraft is one, going against russia was another. let us hope history never repeats They...

In the gaming world Desktops are of course the way to go as they are easy to upgrade and are made for features that just dont fit into a laptop , there are good gaming laptops but are only half as good if not less as a good desktop .. One Day therr will be more out there to buy in the range of laptops as the parts get smaller and do more ,ie like like the new slimline PS3 , the i phone etc ,i just dont think there is a good one now "opinion" if you are set on getting a laptop get someone in a highend PC shop to , , i mean a real PUTER geek shop to run you through all the best advice...

A good outcome. /ohmy.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= :o border= 0 alt= ohmy.gif /> I agree we only see the bad ones on TV. I found this Interesting though. "It's the second time a plane has used the car-park as a runway. In 1996, two people suffered minor injuries when their single-engine plane ran out of fuel and was forced to land there." MAybe they should put in a runway /cool.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= B-) border= 0 alt= cool.gif />

QUOTE (Adamski @ Aug 24 2009, 01:10 AM) I think we had another thread going on this one, but do you think 64-bit (of either XP, Vista or Win7) made any significant difference to FSX? I can't compare, as my Vista32 FSX is stuffed to the rafters with addons (I'm amazed it works at all!) ... but my test RC7/64 was pretty clean. Not really a fair comparison. Often, the most stupid thing makes all the difference. In my case, it was the total lack of 64-bit drivers for my Saitek gear. There is a significant difference between using DX9 and DX10 but with DX10 a lot of the addons...

A very sad loss to the gliding community, both here in NZ and around the world. I was lucky enough to have flown with Ray - quite an experience I must say, to finally meet and fly with the person who's feats inspired me to take up "silent flight". RIP Ray, you will be sorely missed! Stunning photos Gavin.

It's legal to listen in but not to do anything with what you hear, so there is nowhere streaming NZ Police / Fire. Wellington Police have gone to encrypted digital first because they're closest to the Police IT section so easiest to babysit through the installation learning curve. I think Canterbury is next because of the boy racer problems, and Auckland won't be far behind as they want us done before that football thing in a couple of years. Note that even after they go digital encrypted you can still listen to them, there's nothing illegal about it, you just won't hear...

QUOTE Find the South-Eastern Apron... it's where the Warbirds live (like the Cat, Mustang, AirTrainer etc live)... Might get some good photo-ops if the hanger is open... Stop in at the cafe adjoining the aeroclub for a coffee or lunch... The Warbirds always seem to be out and about round there mid week- the main hanger in the centre of the apron is home to the Mustang, Trojan and all the Harvards, and I've taken a look around in there many a time with out any problems. You can also drive out to the Unicom tower where ZK-DAK is usually parked, as long as you put your cars hazard lights...

Txting is a way of the past anyway.. NZ and Australia are one of the few countries that are still big on it at the moment. For the same price as sending 1500 texts with Telecom you can send a much larger amount of "text emails".
