QUOTE (Naki @ Mar 24 2009, 10:54 PM) Im not too young and Bazza (no offence Barry) certainly isnt....some pics would be good of NZROs ash laden runway.. Bingobob's one of Colin's troll alias- his usual ploy is to try and undermine admin, make a post saying he'll upload photos of a various subject, then disappear for a few months never to be heard of. Thread locked to save pointless immature banter.

Due to one of our team becoming unavailable we need to find another pit lane marshall. The actual job the poor guy was listed for was speed gun report runner, so it would help if we can find someone else who is pretty fit - it's a long way up the stairs to deliver those reports If stairs aren't your thing we can swap people around between jobs and get you a ground level job as a pit lane safety marshall keeping an eye on the teams. Whatever you end up doing you'll be trackside, and only dealing with the public for pitwalks. If we can get someone who is a shirt size L or XL...

Nope the rules changed on 1st September last year. Licence holders from certain countries (eg where rules similar to ours) are now exempt from some parts of our test requirements. For the practical test exemption you have to have held the O/Seas licence for at least 2 years. Generally when converting you get the equivilant NZ class of licence that you held O'seas. So may be able to get a NZ 1L. Check out the NZTA website it has heaps on there. A workmate has recently converted so has been a topic for smoko here lately. We reckon it was a trade off for something Auntie Helen wanted from...

Very cool kit Timmo. Well I'm slowly learning. My 8 y/o son is having lessons during the week and I'm away in Wellington during the week, so only home at the weekends to try and keep up with him !! Good fun and really enjoying it. Deane

Haha that's neat /thumbup1.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= border= 0 alt= thumbup1.gif /> My best score is 96.3% for the Sudan one. Not even going to tell you some of my other scores... horrendous. Let's just say my lowest was 21% on the flag drop one /laugh.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= border= 0 alt= laugh.gif />.

QUOTE (deaneb @ Mar 6 2009, 07:19 PM) Odd - the Cafe only re-opened in the last few months, now its back for sale. Way over priced at $900K. So you just want the plane - Its very hard work to keep something of that size clean and in good condition when its stored outside - add to that the harsh Marlb sun and the paint fades quickly too. Hmm , maybe a New Job for me , a new life in shinny (Argosy) sunny Marlborough , a plane dinner cook /unsure.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= border= 0 alt= unsure.gif />

Cool, PM with all of the requested info received as per instructions (well done). I know the initial round of jobs has been dished out because some of us have received confirmations. Other people we had down for Pit Lane jobs haven't heard anything yet which is odd, Pit Lane is our department and really the organisers just needed to rubber stamp the list we submitted. Some of the people we put in as possible flag marshalls have been confirmed, and again others haven't. So I've put in a quiet query on behalf of the ones who haven't heard anything yet, and asked if they are...

QUOTE (creator2003 @ Feb 25 2009, 05:06 PM) could anyone let me know how fast or how long it should be in the sky to the eye ? It's just ahead of Saturn, same speed. If you haven't got a map PM me. Ian, Yeah, quite disappointing. Last year's Tuttle was much better.
