Yes, those are certainly beautiful, you are spot-on calling it iconic. However at the moment I have a Spitty aversion, since I'm trying to model the one on the stick in the shopping centre near the airport....

Paul -- thanks, I'll add that to my holiday list next year. Enjoy your gravy! The other Paul -- bear in mind that Real NZ Wellington doesn't really work well with Orbx NZ, which is why it has been demoted to freeware.

Thanks Nick ...it is indeed better than a kick to the nads. Just hope I look as good as the big guy in 20 years .... seems to me, that "oldies", these days with an interest, seem to outlast those that dont. 80 is the new 60....which makes me feel good ^_^

A step back in time! Burt Munro.... Indian Motorcycles!...>>> Old Flathead (Side Valve), vee-twins, used for flat track racing, board racing, and Wall of Death! Similar to the 1915< Harley-Davidson J and JD Flatheads. Hand gearchange and foot clutches! Wonderful old machines. Brings a tickle to the throat! Watch "TROG" (The Race of Old Gentlemen), and "Motorcycle Cannonball" on Youtube, for some excellent examples on the lovely old machines! ...good for stress relief Marty....trust me.... ...! Well it must be very important business, this Bunnings thing! It made the leaders' news conference in Singapore today! There has been a casualty I believe, although unconfirmed: The Bunnings Marketing Manager is said to have laughed his head off, at the international exposure his company got, without spending a dime! Priceless!

So: a tax on mining activity in NZ. In the first instance, to fund the Pike River cost. Thereafter, to directly fund proper government oversight of mining in NZ. Lobby your MP - why should the money come from any other quarter? Exactly. Dealing with what happens when things go horribly wrong is the responsibility of the undustry. They should all contribute to a fund to clean up the occasional mess especially when it happens to the workers.
