Really nice shot, I have never seen in real life the southern lights before. I remember one time driving down to Ashburton when I was in my 20s (that seems a long time ago sadly) - I was wondering what the green glow in the sky was and then twigged that is was a bright auroara, much much brighter than this one in my photo above, so it must have been a doozy, if only digital cameras has been around in those days.

30yrs ago.... would have gone into a crappy rundown suburb where I used to work and bought as many properties as I could have begged borrowed or stolen the money for and then leveraged against those to get even more. Then just sat in "the Birdcage" next to the old Securitas headquarters at the bottom of Ponsonby where I was working and waited...

"what would happen if left up to women..." ? ask the crew of the General Belgrano. So true , good old Iron Lady , take no shite , that was great decision and got results, caused the Argie propaganda spinners to really go into full drive with a loada bull to the poplation, then junta soldier started shooting themselves in the feet to get off the battle line .. one tough army NOT!

Thank you chef .... will do that one this weekend :) Ta, Marty!... ....! The thing I like about Stews and Casseroles, is that you can go crazy; with mountains of stuff; Meats, Vegetables, Stock, Herbs and Spices.... ...everything which is good for you, and keeps you healthy.....(and fit?).... ...just ask your dear old Mum, when she used to cook for you and Dad! My Mum's (1905- 1990) Meals/Dinners encouraged me to cook amazing stuff! ...and I LOVE doing it every day...(cooking)... :wink2: ....! ...with added Sweet Sherry... ...! Paul.... ... ... ...!

Look at the change, totally rebuilt after Pearl Harbour, if you follow these Battleships, this is the same class as the USS California which well photoed after the Dec 7th 1941 attack, re-coloured, look at the flak batteries, main armment was 14.5 and only 600 ft long , built in 1917-20 she weight in at 34,000 tons in 1943/5 after the rebuild in weight in at 40,500 tons and its side profile it looked more like the South Dakota class ... impressive looking after it be-build B-)

That is all a load of baloney regard to H &S and security and it is made up out fear by liberals, lot can say its just the money thing - , the book "With Great Foresight" was correct for those 50 years and even before the terminal of the 1960s was put in, today , If the book was re-writen be called "Lack of any Foresight" , the old excuse, never had a problem with the locals and it is easy to make it safe as it use to be, trouble is with security , it today's standard to let down by a lack of hard time ... other countries around the world do have setups for interested...

Haha, nice catch by the bank. Another gotcha if you're a CC user online, I had a couple of random Starbucks Membership Card to-pups done in US dollars in the states recently. Personally I dont drink their coffee, dont have a card for sure, and haven't been to the states in a year or two, so followed up w the bank and they reversed the charges. Turns out there's a mini scam where they can make lots of small charges on random credit card nums if they can guess the 3num code. The transactions were labelled "STARBUCKS CARD RELOAD". Sounds like SB need to up their security. PS this was...

Without any prob I would have mowed it years back if no one did, John the property owner had Jim come in and do it , old story if he needed a park during the day told just to throw it in my spot ... without thinking , this twit is really out doing himself , dose not appear to do anything for unless there is a dollar in it, found that out from down back .. It dose make ya head scratch , its now a neighbourhood experiment in who is in your neighbourhood.

You gotta love that New Zealand history documentary of 25 years of the New Zealand 737, I guess they could make a doco 50 years in New Zealand registry. Concorde and Avonhead primary school, in the school library and all the talk was this Concorde and Boeing 747, the aircraft books were always getting taken out by me, other big one on the stage incoming was the Galaxy, I thought back then we would never see these in New Zealand only four years later both the 747 and the Galaxy overflew Christchurch on separate occasions .. and the Concorde , that become a regular visitor ! so much for my...
