I do like Rob's story of the snowflake being a sign. I had a similar one at about 13 or 14. I had my first puff with a mate who had nicked a couple of smokes off his folks. We were resting on our pushbikes on one of those very chilly mornings. After only drawing in a couple of puffs (well sort of) a large droplet of water fell from an overhead power line and hit the tip extinguishing it. I was actually quite relieved as I did not enjoy those few puffs and have never had another cigarette to this day. I did have a period of smoking the odd cigar when out for dinner but that phase did not last...

A debit card is a very good idea. I have a US one for my US purchases. Despite numerous requests from Westpac for me to raise my credit limit on my NZ Visa card I resist and keep it deliberately low. To what I could live with if it all goes pear shaped.

I am forever glad that I retired in 1984 from my trade as an electrical engineer since 1950, well before all the daft European rules and regulations, health and safety rules/stupidity, etc...etc...came into force, and crippled normal sensible working practices carried out by common-sense skilled engineers and tradesmen. The world has now gone mad! I'm just very glad that I'm no longer involved in; "working practices". Paul...in Happy Retirement!.... ....!

A Plane or Superbird .. one thing I found and been finding is to simply catch a photo , being so fliighty even the crunch of a toastie will send them flying, I now count the seconds before a photo ... still not really good at it , you seem to be doing better than I am ... Marty the bird stalker.
